The home button placement on the HTC One makes me really hate the device, especially because it's where it is because of a logo.

Gross.

I'm abandoning the iPhone ship.

My black iPhone 5 is going to my wife and a black htc One has been preordered on Amazon.

I would def do the same if it came to Verizon. :(

Why did you get the black one? I heard the silver one had more presence from all of the hands on videos by tech reviewers.

Two reasons really.

1. Don't like white. If the white bits were silver I might have considered it.

2. For reason 1 I don't like the screen to not match it's surrounds.

I will be getting one when they are available in the states. I have had every iPhone since the beginning, and I love Apple products but I really like the features and looks of the One.

I did, only to get disappointed. :(

Aye. That's why you have to imagine it.

Really, it would have set the world on fire. The aesthetics and build quality are already very iPhone-like.

Then imagine that iOS 6 had offered some of the many things the jailbreaking community have been enjoying.

Would have likely won me back.

EDIT: Someone with some mad photoshopping skills should do a render of an HTC One running iOS... what could've been the iPhone 5.

Its funny how some experiences can put one off, I have seen a couple of my friends with older and clunkier (UI) HTC models and TBH, they have watered down my enthusiasm for this phone. I like the look of this one though.

Same here. Just don't trust htc.

Either way, doesn't hurt to see what the s4 brings before deciding.

Even though I really like HTC one, I just can't trust them. They haven't even updated HTC one x to 4.2 Samsung ftw!

I was under the impression all of the Samsung phones are still at 4.1. Which is that the one x currently has. And the only complaint I've heard from the many htc owners I know is poor battery life in some instances. Sense is one of the better UIs as far as usability goes. It's still a pig though in some cases. Hopefully htc fixed that with sense 5. Can't wait to get my hands on the one.

Officially DELAYED in UK. Expansys provide the online shop/ordering for HTC.

Bad news folks.....

Those expecting them on the 14th/15th it's been delayed for a week.... They now have 22nd pencilled in at Expansys (though they had expected stock for the 8th - with delivery of phones for the 14/15th to customers)...

So it now looks like end of next week, begging of the week after...

That's not good for HTC as it gives people who pre-ordered plenty of opportunity to looks at the SGS4 especially if they announce it's shipping soon after launch/reveal.....
