I have always liked HTC and their products. I would always switch between android and iphone. And when i went with an android i would go with HTC. I am big sense fan also. I think the big difference between them and say Samsung. Is the campaign blitz that Samsung has given out. Especially trying to go head to head against Iphone in its campaigns. They are very clever. And they explain all of the features/advantages you would get from a Samsung vs Apple phone.

The biggest downfall i agree with HTC is that they do not give you a reason to buy their phone. Just Robert Downey, and a bunch of creatures dancing while washing a car. Oh and trying to see what HTC stands for. But nothing, absolutely nothing about the phones for the most part. Nothing to distinguish itself from everyone else. Sure if you own an HTC you know what features it has. But for the common user, they will connect more from Samsung's ad, or Apple's campaign commercials also. It is a shame. Cause HTC has always, in my opinion made great phones.

Insider says 4.3 coming to the One in a few weeks. http://www.androidcentral.com/insider-says-43-coming-us-based-htc-one-soon-more-info-europe

I guess when the HTC Prez said "by end of September" they really mean end of September.

Either way, bring it on. Because this is how I feel about the dreaded on-screen menu bar button:

What a seriously awful commercial. I didn't know what I was watching

Omg first time I've seen this......I almost felt too embarrassed to watch it all the way through  Must have cost a fortune too.

Honestly, I have a bad feeling the One Max will flop compared to the Note III.

And more on the bad August numbers for HTC: http://blogs.wsj.com/digits/2013/09/05/htc-shares-fall-to-new-low-on-weak-revenue/

Yeah, I don't think it really stands a chance when compared to the Note 3. Samsung has managed to find a clear direction with that line of devices - productivity, versatility and the S Pen. While the Max remains anonymous.

I really wish HTC would make sound at least one clear direction. The One speakers were practically revolutionary, and there they had a clear opportunity for the Max - it should come out with even better speakers, and they should have everyone knowing about them at least a month before launch. (Because that's the one thing I personally miss on the Note 3 lol.)

I'm running 4.3 on mine. Been for about a month. The battery life on 4.3 is so good, it's almost at the level of what my 2-year old 4S was.

That being said, I'm buying a 5S and selling the One. I feel that I've experienced the absolute best of Android and I'd prefer iOS 5 on my iPad 1 over it.

I just bought me a red HTC One yesterday and am absolutely smitten with the device all over again. Can't wait to get 4.3 on this baby, just so I can get rid of the menu bar in a few apps! Other than that, not much at all to complain about. My red One doesn't get nearly as warm as my silver one used to either, which is really nice.

HTC One Max is supposed to have a fingerprint sensor on the back. Here's my question.

Once again, why isn't the front HTC center logo being used as the fingerprint scanner?!

Red looks fantastic. Too bad it's a Sprint exclusive.

Guys what do you reckon, too late to buy a One?

I saw one in the flesh and am smitten. I could either buy one off contract for about £450 (ouch) then just sell whenever I want, or take out a new contract with the following: £30 p/m, 24 month plan, no upfront cost, 500GB,250 mins, 5000 texts and an option to upgrade whenever I want. The plan is terrible but ill just put that SIM card in my iPhone and keep it in the car. I'll put my current SIM in the HTC.

Awesome plan?
