Couch, check your status. Mine is showing Picking in status and estimate shipping of today. Hopefully this is real not a fluke like last week.

FWIW, mine also says Unknown. Not reassuring but probably the most truthful update. And I'm not going to bother calling as I prefer to use my phones naked and already have overnight shipping.

Really had to fight the urge to call LetsTalk and cancel and pick one up at my local AT&T. Real progress for me to not forgo the advantages that come with a bit of patience (i.e. no AT&T bloat, no reliance on carrier for updates) just to have the shiny new toy today. ;)

Ditto. I am willing to wait a few days even a week or so for a phone I could potentially use for the next year or so that will be logo free. :)

But c'mon, HTC... you gotta get your shiz together. For your own sake.

EDIT: And so they are coming through. It's supposed to ship today. Yes!

Me too! W00t!

BUt why is expected arrival Monday? That doesn't sound like "overnight" shipping at all.

Mine changed as well. :D I believe the shipping is being handled by UPS which only delivers Saturday if that option is paid for. I read a comment in another forum stating they contacted LetsTalk and had to pay an extra $10 for Saturday delivery.

No Saturday unless you pay extra. Mine still showing Tuesday delivery.

I love my new One! Hands down THE best design & built so far.

I've only played with it for a few hours and forgot about my Note 2 (which IMO it's still THE best Super Phone overall).

Sense 5 looks great, still getting used to it. I just finished setting up the IR (HomeTheater) remote, it doesn't replace Logitech Harmony but like having a Flashlight App it's very convenient. Hopefully, this will become standard on future Super Phones.

The build quality on any device is usually not good on the first run. People were asking manufacturing dates of the Nexus 7 etc...

Yeah i think thats just par for course with new high-end smartphones (or any new tech) even more so those with radical designs.

At this point it might be wise to wait a month or two when production stabilises. Xbox/PS3 have undergone hardware revisions, ditto for Nexus 4/7, MacBook Pros, TVs etc.

Mass manufacture is hard and rigorous testing becomes less feasible.

On the build quality front, this doesn't look too good:

Watching that video in full screen really put the HTC One in a different light, for me at least. The plastic was quite a bit overwhelming, but a lot of that is due to how zoomed in the video was.

Going back to the HTC One announcement, "Now we've leveraged our history of breakthroughs and manufacturing firsts to break down this last barrier, giving you a virtually all metal phone... The dream was really the zero gap construction: to come up with a part that has no part breaks, no moving parts, that is completely seamless, and as a part has a lot of integrity" No moving parts... I really interpreted that as "we did what Apple couldn't." Thanks a lot Jony Ive 2 and Jony Ive 3.

As an iPhone consumer/supporter, I think the glass pieces on the back are somewhat awkward and out of character with their 'beautiful and simplistic' designs. But I was slighted by HTC's play on words =/

I don't know about you guys but this picture just makes the iPhone look so sad and antiquated.

I absolutely LOVE my HTC One. I was beginning to lose hope that a phone could actually outshine the iPhone, and I feel like HTC has hit it out of the park this time around. I'm blown away.

It is truly stunning!

I love both OS. It's sad Apple is too stubborn to change, what is it with iOS?! Their Mac line ups are amazing. This should've been the next iPhone.

It would've been perfect match with my Samsung Galaxy S4, seven more days!

I hate her videos with a passion. She destroyed an xperia z a few weeks back because she decided to remove the shatterproof screen protector, then realised it removes any oleophobic coating so her solution and advise to anyone removing the shatter proof protector was to put a screen protector on otherwise they'll ruin the screen!!! What a morose thing to do....

Wouldn't trust her as far as I could throw her. That being said, this is back to exactly what I said before - like all devices there will be a small proportion with flaws, look at every device launch on this particular website and you'll find people with issues on their new device. Return the device and get a replacement, as long as the carrier or manufacturer looks after folks returning for replacements its yes a PITA for those who have an issue but it certainly isn't reflective of the majority.

I really like her detailed hour long video reviews. I feel like they give note insight then any other review. I don't always agree with her, but I feel like she is honest.

I just got mine today; as someone who has always had an iPhone it's definitely a big change. Android is a lot more complicated but also has a lot more options...and I like some parts of it; whereas I wish others were simpler.

I /LOVE/ the bigger screen and (most of the time...) speakers on this phone, the screen especially is crisp and clear.

Wish I could say the same about the audio though. The speakers, while loud and clear most of the time...crackle! They actually crackle, noticeably, under any type of music and a lot of youtube videos. Oddly enough, I haven't noticed it when watching stuff on Netflix, Hulu, HBO etc.

Any way. I'm definitely going to be going in for an exchange...does anyone know if I should have a problem exchanging in another state? We have a business account if that matters.

If the problem persists I may look into the GS4 or just go back to an iPhone 5.

Anyone else having this problem?

Definetly exchange, there certainly shouldnt be any audio crackles.

Double Dip Flip Case

Double Dip folio case.

So I picked up the leather folio style double dip case and I like it. I saw some folks say the lid was flappy and read advice that it settles down overnight if you leave your phone face down. Mine isn't flappy however, but will leave it face down this evening anyway.

It actually feels lighter on the phone than the double dip plastic case, and the device looks better because your not covering up the aluminium speaker grills. I like the red felt on the inside too, used with a red desktop wallpaper it looks quite eye catching.

I like this case a lot too, particularly as it is very easy to clip the phone in and out so it is possible to use the phone naked in a 'safe' environments or just generally when you fancy it.

It is also a good viewing stand, and the red interior is an attractive contrast to the external black.

The front cover settles after a few days use so that it lies completely flat.

Please keep posting your thoughts on the phone and your experience with it. I am in the same boat as you but haven't bought a new phone yet.

Check your statuses again boys and girls. Now says shipping Monday April 22nd instead of being shipped yesterday.

Htc htc htc...

I saw a video on YouTube. It this girl that does phones reviews. She was talking about build quality, and her developers edition statues was unknown. She said what she had heard was it would be the end of April first of May. This seems a lot like when new iPhones are released. Well HTC can't claim they have 3 million pre orders, but still.
