Here's what mine look like after 14 hours of use and it's down to 3 percent after right when I plugged it on my wall charger.

Yep any other launcher disables Blinkfeed, but also disables Senses other widgets like weather, clock, music etc...
True....but how many weather, clock, music widgets are available for free in the play store? So for some....installing a launcher gets rid of some of the Sense quirks that annoy some of us...... The beauty of Android is we can customize it to our liking.

Can you show history and usage details? Your getting about twice the time as I am, though I may be using it more you. That's what I want to find out, if my crappy battery life is because I'm a heavy user or if the battery is faulty.

It made it so clunky to wake/sleep the device.

It is so obnoxious that they force your Facebook friend's pictures in the stock Gallery app when you're signed onto Facebook. It doesn't matter if you have all your Facebook syncs off, etc.

It's disgusting that they force that in your Gallery. It's stuff like this, Sense.

Here you go...

I had enough of Sense 5 & Blink Feed after a few days, I'm running Nova Launcher Prime.

Me too. I can't stand Sense anymore. I'll go into more detail when I start my own thread.

----------

Can someone tell me how I can check/uncheck the "Show Notification" there? I hate having to force close it from the notification pull down everytime I turn on Power Saver:

----------

Is it customisable otherwise? With Light Flow or a built-in app?

I haven't tried myself but I read/heard no.

----------

On mine when I get a notification it'll blink green while it's solid red.

I was charging via USB connected to computer so it was solid red. I was still getting chats but just not getting the green light.

Don't know why.

Which apps aren't available to you on Android? Not bashing you or anything, just a current iPhone 5 user who is very intrigued by the latest Android hardware, but holding off trying Android before we see what Apple has in store for iOS7.

Nike Fuel band, Clear & musicdock are the three biggest ones. Also there's a bunch that I don't feel like paying for again like tapatalk and games I've purchased.

Makes Android worse, like most skins do.

Subjective. Personally I prefer Sense 5 over stock android any day and find the changes fro make a world of difference (for the better).

----------

Well, I'm not sure if I have a defective battery or not. While in use I can watch the percent points drop every couple of minutes and it takes forever to recharge. Sometimes if I'm using it while on the charger the battery still drops. Earlier just setting the web in chrome it dropped 2 percentage points in about 30-40 minutes, and I had it plugged in!

Is this normal?

The first 2 shots are at around 6pm when I put it back on the charger and the last two are right now.

Looking at your screen on time it looks like you have nearly 5 hours if you add up all the blue, so you clearly was using it very heavily that day and you were also using LTE?

Even looking at the dark area for mobile signal bar you can see it was constantly polling 4G all day.

So yeah, whilst you might not think you were using it 'that' heavily, but your phone battery stats clearly think differently. I don't think you'll get better results with most other android devices either with that level of usage, except something with a 3000+ mAh battery...

Well surely that's not androids fault. You must have known that would be the case from the outset.

Couch its a design choice of sense but to use adjectives like obnoxious and disgusting is really drama queening it up.

Besides you have a dev phone. Install a custom rom or something and I'm sure you'll be able to get rid of a lot of the things bugging you.

OK - HTC One boxed to be sent back for replacement :(

I just ordered a Galaxy S4 White for €99 on my phone upgrade. When it (the one) comes back to me I'll decide which of the two I keep.

Whether beautiful form factor and subtler OS but with so far for me dissapointing camera (htc one) wins out over the generally poorer aesthetics, and heavily bloated OS but with seemingly a really great camera.

Which I choose will be interesting to say the least.......

When are you getting it?

I pre-ordered the same model from Amazon.co.uk 5 days ago with today as the expected delivery date. Two days ago that slipped back to tomorrow, and now it has slipped back to next Friday. Not pleased. :(

Well if I was in a major city (Limerick / Cork / Dublin) I would probably receive it tomorrow.

However as I am in the rural countryside, I would expect it Monday.

Just ordered a Spigen Slim Glas.T protector and matte case protector from Amazon too.

How bad is the Htc one camera?

For me it was defective, but it wasn't bad if all I ever did was Facebook & Instagram photos. But closer inspection for me revealed a startling lack of clarity - and the biggest cause of that was the low pixel count.

It means I could never shoot a picture and set it as my 27" monitor wallpaper.

However I have seen images (dojoman's for example) which are very good which leaves me to believe the production yield / issues with the camera have led to maybe variable component quality currently.

The only negative I could really label onto the device was the camera, but as I say mine was defective anyway and the reason it has to be replaced.

So the iPhone 5 is better in daylight in your opinion?

I'm sorry but forcing something I don't want, giving me no option to opt out is obnoxious. And the result of this "design choice" is to clutter (if you scroll down one page in the gallery it's all Facebook photos) my gallery with pictures I don't wish to see is disgusting.

You disagree. That's fine.

Wow! That's about £100 more than I paid for the silver one from Phones4U!

Yup about £103 more than when purchased from a carrier on PAYG. Plus there are reports of the black being more vulnerable to scratches/scuffing.
