Very good quality photos! Don't know if I am buying a new iPhone or this HTC One.. I'm so confused.. I don't want an iPhone 5S but a new iPhone with new iOS since I'm tired of the current design..

Love this phone

Have had it for about a week. Amazing phone. I like the UI. HTC Sense continues to improve. Screen is amazing. Fast etc.

Blinkfeed is actually pretty nice and i was mentally prepared to dislike it.

If other developers begin to support it (HTC have already opened up the Blinkfeed SDK .api) it could be the best feature of 2013 IMHO.

I have yet to see lte on my phone. Only thing it ever gets a high is h. Is that lte?

----------

I swear my home button and sometimes back button becomes unresponsive. Is anyone else experiencing this? It'll just stop responding for a few seconds. What gives. I'm not even running intensive apps when this happens. It's random.

Please anyone else? I want to know if I have a defect or something.

Don't get me wrong but every time I come to this thread, I always read your post and have nothing but complains about your phone. Most of the things you are experiencing I have not experienced like your back our home button. Why don't you just exchange or return your phone if it gives you nothing but trouble?

Thanks for the suggestion.

One huge question I forgot to ask One users - How is the multitasking? I remember there was a lot of controversy about the way the One X handled multi tasking, resetting your browser's tabs / pages, or position in YouTube videos, apps reloading like it was just launched again, etc.

This was a disappointment for a lot of people checking out the One X and I wanted to see how Sense handled multitasking apps now.. I read on another forum that the multitasking tends to reload a lot of things once again, not really taking advantage of the 2GB RAM. Hoping this isn't true this time around.

How's the coverage in your area? H is most definitely not LTE.

Sometimes I think my capacitive buttons are unresponsive too-- I'll need to see when it happens to me again. If it's a widespread issue, there will hopefully be a firmware upgrade to increase sensitivity or fix the bug entirely.

Did you install screen protector ? Mine seems to be unresponsive after I had install it. At one point I couldn't press either buttons at all.

Yes, but it's a very generic static screen protector to prevent stuff like this.

So what's the solution? Can't use a screen protector? Or have to buy one that's shorter? Or cut a regular screen protector?

This is not good. :T

It leaves a bit to desire. I'll detail in my upcoming thread. I'm writing it up and will post soon.

EDIT: Actually, you may be speaking about the actual multitasking feature. I thought you meant the App Switcher. I was talking about that. Sorry for confusion.

I just took off mine and buttons work fine now. I suggest taking off than having unresponsive buttons.

H is for HSPA+

The update I got which included camera improvements, also fixes the home button sensitivity issues some people are having.

This is confirmed on XDA

The new update adjusts the sensitivity meaning it should be more responsive and so shouldn't need you to remove the screen protectors.

Worse culprit before the update was the GlaS.t cover as its much thicker, a lot of folks complained with that on.

Hopefully you get the OTA update pushed to your handsets soon.

No you will be thankful to know that multi- tasking is working 100% properly now with the HTC One. Unlike the One X's implementation.

It doesn't force reloads of every app, some apps it pauses (games and such) but they aren't force closed like they were effectively on the one X.

So yeah multi-tasking is great :)

As for muti-tasking window juggling I actually prefer the implementation of HTC over other JB implementations. I like being able to see the nine apps on one screen and just flick up to dismiss whichever I choose. More so than the regular JB multitasking window where you get list on the right of 4 icons that you have to then scroll up or down to navigate through, and then flick to right to dismiss.

HTC's implementation is simpler are more refined and a little quicker.

THE NIT PICKING COMMETH! ;) :p

Just so you know, for every nit pick I am going to do the exact same of the GS4! :p

Or maybe you could simply wait for software update. I assume the current one being pushed in Europe and the east, it will be pushed to North American devices soon.

Relax, adjust the tiara, and breathe :p

Not true in all cases. On T-Mobile my phone says 4G when on hspa+, when we get LTE it will say 4G LTE. T-Mobile plays up their hspa+ as 4G but it's really not even though we get great speeds with their hspa+ 42 mbps.

The unlocked HTC One and Nexus 4 don't have T-mobile's native radio frequencies (No LTE nor HSPA 42) and the only signal you'll get on TM network is H or E

So I talked the wife into letting me pick up an One with my early upgrade last night.

So far so good! This phone is awesome! Blinkfeed is lovely, Sense's design language is wonderful and I'm haveing no issue adjusting to the home button placement (capacitive area seems plenty big - no issues with double taps) or with the lock placement.

And boy are those boomsound speakers legit! This is what I've been looking for in an Android phone. Beautifully designed with an elegant interface. HTC One is winner IMO!

Wait! Are you sure?

I thought the unlocked HTC One does support Tmobile's LTE?

Please someone confirm because this is a big deal. My research says it does?

EDIT: Shoot. I think you might be right.

I found out why my battery is so bad. After fully charging overnight to 100% and I rebooted. Turns out it's not 100%. Battery drops to 87 after rebooting. I immediately plugged in again to see how long it would take to get green led again, about 20 min. It seems like there is a bug in power management.

I noticed when charging mine it would stay stuck at 99% for 'ages' before getting to 100%. So yeah I think it must fast charge a portion and then trickle charge which throws the percentage off somewhat.

Would it be worth it to reset the phone? When you reset yours did the restore bring back all the settings and apps? I'm not sure which server is better Google or HTC one with Dropbox?

you can do both ;) But yeah try doing HTC's dropbox restore and 'in theory' it should bring back your phone / layout / settings etc all as they were. It will likely need to re-download the apps but it should put them back into the right place with the right settings as before.

How do you do the dropbox backup? I only get the google option.
