After trying Blinkfeed, I see the best way to utilize it personally is to select only one topic. You only get all the feeds for that topic. If you select multiple topics it is not segregated like Flipboard, each in their respective tap so to speak for the latter app.

Maybe I'm not setting it up correctly? Is that the way it is, you get multiple feeds for each topic you selected as they come in and there is no segregation like Flipboard?

That's the way it's working for me at least. There may be a better way to set it up. I have Engadget, ESPN, and AP feeding into mine. Facebook and Twitter are to often checked for me to utilize that feature. Plus it just pulls random post, half of which I would never read anyways.

Does anyone know how Tethering works with this device? The reason I ask is because with the iPhone (if you had it jailbroken) and used tethering, AT&T could find out and charge more to your plan.

Does anyone know if they still do that?

Should be able to just select any single topic / category which you want to view in the drop down field.

Edit oh and I love the battery on the one. I'm 11 hours on battery and only down to 79% :)

I see you got your replacement. Any difference between this one and the one you had? Are the pictures better?

TBH havent had time to take some nice shots or had the weather to do so (been miserable since yesterday I got it back)

I did test to check that the lens issue I had was fine and it is on this machine and the indoor shots look grand but will test it over the coming weekend further, but so far so good.

But I am realistic, I've tempered my expectations so that they are realistic. There is no feasible way a 4mp camera is going to pack the same detail as a 13mp I liked on the S4. As long as the one takes great shots for Facebook / Instagram and Twitter I'll be content. For when I am really out and about the countryside I'll just carry my stand-alone digital camera too.

Alright so is the One sexier than the iPhone 5? Everyone keeps saying it looks good, but is it better than the iPhone 5?

I see now how to break down by topic once you selected the ones you want a feed from, thanks MRU.

I better keep this phone for your tips and help. :)

Damn, I want that white Speck case pictured above.

It's different. Better is subjective and depends on the individual and a 'definitive' answer can not be made ...

This is not Mordor or Isangard, so the "ONE" ring does not rule them all ;):p

For me it's as good as the iPhone 5. Its the closest an android device has come to look and feel of an apple product and the GUI design language and aesthetic elements are so well designed and integrated and coherent throughout the device / software that it feels like 'what apple would design if they were to refresh android'.....

I think a lot of iOS7's flat design language is actually already in place in the HTC One & Sense 5.

I find the iPhone to be good to look at and made with premium material. I have gone into it before why I don't think Apple is for sure the best built phone, but they do use great materials. With that said I thought the HTC One was much better built then the iPhone at the time which was the iPhone 3GS. HTC has always a felt had the best built of phones because they use metals. The iPhone has always just seem like the more premium phone because Apple tells you that is it. Ever since the iPhone 3GS though I thought android had the better phone in hand. I have always felt the curves on android phones seem to fit better in the hand.

I guess I would have to ask. If you liked like the way iPhones were built. Do you like the HTC One better? It looks like with the curved back it fits better in the hand.

Sense reminds me of a flat design on acid. It has some really weird neon colors kind of outlining the apps

Actually yes I do.... It genuinely feels to me 'more' apple like aesthetically than the iPhone strange enough.

Put the HTC One next to a current macbook air / pro / retina and there really is a common design language that they share and it looks like it was designed by the same people.

To me it looks like what the iPhone should have been. Does it feel more solid than the iPhone 5? I always thought the iPhone was so light it felt like it was not solid and built well.

Yes especially the iPhone 5 feels strangely at times almost too light. I do understand the desire to make things lighter but I think there does come a point where something is so light it just doesn't feel right. The 25g more of the HTC one actually makes it feel the more durable phone even if its made out of the same material, and the curved back sits in the palm really nicely.

I concur its a bit odd going back and forth between the two - however I will add that one of the benefits of the weight of the iP5 is that drops are less perilous.

Won't fall quite as hard and fast weighing less - which in addition to the new design, is a big reason why the iP5 is more durable as far as drops go.

Yea I never understood the rectangle design Apple made with the iphone. Yes it looks good, but in terms of using it in hand. Not so much. The curved back of the the One just looks like it would feel better in hand. I have the white iphone 5 that I don't use as a phone. Does the HTC One have that same coating on the aluminum that chips easily?

My black iPhone 5's coating doesn't chip easily so, I wouldn't be able to say. I would compare the aluminum on the One to that on an iMac or MBP/MBA.

The aluminum on the iP5 seems more "polished" (for lack of a better term).

I have read that the black scuffs easily from folks who have it.

The silver model I have from the back feels the same as the casing on the MacBooks it doesn't appear to have the coating as far as i can tell that the iPhone 5 has, but I had a black iPhone 5 not the white model.

Ok so your iPhone 5 does not chip easy. Maybe that was the wrong word. A lot of iPhone user had problems with the iPhone 5's caring coming off, or being scratched out of the box. Is the HTC One having the same issues, or is the coating different?

Ok I was always afraid my iPhone 5 was going to get scratched. Just the other day I took the cover off my white iPhone 5, and it had a chip on the corner. I have never dropped it or anything close to it. I loved the way the iPhone looks but functionally it sometimes does not live up to that same standard.

"A lot" is a relative term....yes there are people who complain about such issues, but I'd reckon the percentage is quite small given the tens of millions of iP5's Apple has sold.

And no, the HTC One isn't coated (at least the white/silver version isn't - much like the white/silver iPhone 5) - no need to worry about scratches out of the box regardless.

Though if you set it down and slide it across different surfaces, I'd guarantee you'll see some scratches - as would any phone (my plastic iP5 case is scratched to hell on the back).

Generally I place my HTC One either in my pocket or on a cloth/soft surface when not in use - keep it looking as beautiful as ever! At least until I decide on a case - I plan on rocking the phone naked most of the time, but would like to have a protective case just for the heck of it. I go back and forth with my iP5 and Nexus 4 as well (between case and naked).

Yea what I do is when I am at work or not at my house I use a case. At home a go naked. Seems to work pretty well for me. Good to hear there is no coating. I would rather just have the aluminum. I am starting to kind of want to try the One out. I just would have to give up a lot to get it. How much is it off contract from AT&T?

$599 I believe - starts at 32 GB though.
