Given the AT&T One X was updated 4 months after release and the AT&T GS3 was 5 months after release, I think us AT&T users can expect a prompt update.

This is completely wrong. One X came out in April 12.

Jelly Bean wasn't out for the One X until March 2013 . That's almost a year.

S3 launched in late June 2013. AT&T pushed the update to all of us in December

Samsung is faster than HTC by a good amount. Plus this time around, Sammy is releasing the phone with the newest version of Android, until HTC.

HTC is one of the better (actually the best overall at 4.8 months) as far as OEMs go in updating their phones - while AT&T ranks third as far as carriers go (6 months average time).
HTC seems to have one of the worst track records (down there with LG, etc). Instead of pushing out JB to the One X in the Fall (like they should have), they just released a whole new upgraded model (One X+)

Try a factory reset. A lot of glitches can be corrected with a reset. Both my first HTC One and my S4 both had to have a reset because of glitches on the one and crashes/freezes on the S4.

Backup via google and HTC and do a reset and restore, I know its inconvenient but it might be worth trying.

No issue with boom sound here.

Be careful with hard reset. I come with iPhone world and didn't know backup actually does not backup everything. HTC backups only the apps home screen settings and apk file. Your app settings won't get restore like email accounts and apps settings. There are work around but kind of difficult to get around without root access.

As I thought. When I had an HTC phone I got one android update over the life of the phone. Now I only kept it a year, but I was close to 2 android updates away from being to the newest one. I don't see the One getting 4.2.2 until June or so then At&t is going to have to push it out. That is going to be about July. By that point the N4 will have 4.3 or 5.0 which ever it will be. There is not way HTC will push that out until at least September. I look for it more like November or December. Then again At&t and other carriers will have to push it out. We are talking beginning of 2014.

The KLP update will not just be a small one either. It is going to have some nice new features like Google Babel which will be huge for android. Those type of updates slow this process down even more. The skinned versions of android have to make sure their software can work with the new android software. Something like Babel want be just an easy thrown it in their and go.

Amazon has jacked the price of the Black Edition to £612 ($951) to which i say...

Jelly Bean was out EVERYWHERE except AT&T Nov/December. Blame AT&T not HTC. Other carriers got it out why not AT&T.

Tell me about it. My 64gb iPhone 5 was €900 that's $1170

About the same my 4s was, 64gb model at 1200usd, the iphone 4 was 800 for the 32gb (cant remember correct price) and previous iphones were cheaper also but they just continue to increase price.

I think thats why i havent feel any urge to buy any of the new phones :p

So I went to Sprint, they had one black HTC One left. They exchanged mine for it and sent me on my way. I found a pretty sweet case for it at ATT. Really liking this phone so far. Glad I got the stealth black one too. :D

That's fab stuff. Please do post pics as not many of us will see the black one :)

Black is scary. Scary with a chance of scratchability.

Seriously, would have have gotten black if I had the chance (Have an ATT One, silver and a HTC One silver - unlocked). Unfortunately, heard ALOT of stories from Europe that the black isn't holding up so well. Of course without a case, but dammit, people (including me) wanna show off this beautiful phone.

Same as the iPhone 5 I suppose. Shame.

Any Developer Edition owners rooting their device?

I'm interested but a bit wary... Especially since I can't find instructions on how to unroot on a Mac.

EXACTLY. Colored anodized aluminum thats beveled on the edges doesn't work real well. But MAN! Does it look good. Sharp aluminum doesnt take a very good beating. It just doesnt show up as much on the silver. But its there.

Actually there is a video on YouTube showing the resistance the back of. The phone has to scratches... http://youtu.be/_EWqPpYVE08

I other news... Anyone having issues with wifi speeds on their One? When compared to my ipad, it takes 30+ seconds to load the same web page. When I run speed test on the One, it starts off great then gives me a network communications error. The ipad is just fine though...

At the bottom of this page ... HTC is offering 25gb free space on Dropbox for two years.

I have heard this deal is not for AT&T customers. Has anyone seen different?

That's where I got my stats.

Also:

The One X started getting JB in November 2012 (4 months after HTC announced it would released JB to the One X).

Got my cards on the S4 for Google Now to show up on the One.

I need to slow down. I have 14 days to do things and make decisions for which smartphone to keep, shorter than that for the S4 but I thing I have a good handle for that one as of now.

Stand aside, the papa coming through:

:D (Taken with my iPhone 4s lol)

-The last photo doesn't do the back of the phone justice. Some weird lighting, but best photo I could get with my work desk lamp.

After trying Blinkfeed, I see the best way to utilize it personally is to select only one topic. You only get all the feeds for that topic. If you select multiple topics it is not segregated like Flipboard, each in their respective tap so to speak for the latter app.

Maybe I'm not setting it up correctly? Is that the way it is, you get multiple feeds for each topic you selected as they come in and there is no segregation like Flipboard?
