The new Mac mini is almost certainly coming

Coming or not coming, I'm starting to think the new Mini will be the same shape and size of the Cinema Display leg, so that you can place it on there perfectly.

Probably as thin as an Air... Or even thinner. An Air without screen.

I Pixelmated it.

Exponential

The tread is growing exponentially. It started on 7 December and took nearly 4 months to reach the first thousand (26 March). The second thousand came up in just under 3 months (19 June), and the third thousand rolled over in just on 2 months (19 August).

Today, three weeks on, it is already halfway to the next thousand. Anticipation is reaching fever pitch.

soon, it will have exceeded the information carrying capacity of Macrumors' host, growing geometrically, until the entire web, and then the entire internet is nothing but this thread...

...and we will still be waiting for the nMM.

Just had a thought, considering the vertical design of the MP, we could see a mac mini with a similar vertical design.

Say the size of the Airport Extreme/Time Capsule, only in aluminium.

Silly thought, but a thought nonetheless.
 
so, i'm willing to stake that no new mini will be announced today!

too much hype for the wearable....
 
To all new Mac mini hungry crowd : today is the day for the iPhone and the iWatch,.... And U2/Beats ; wait next month for the new Macs and also maybe the new iPads since today it's and iPhone day.

They have changed the appearance of the "We'll be back" message! It's no longer written inside a Mac-Mini-shaped square with rounded corners, but on a plain white background. This is a bad sign. Maybe they are discontinuing the Mini? :eek:

I did the same last week, I am convinced the mini will be redesigned and because I use mine as a server, I know the current one will work fine. Plus with the refurbished discount it worked into my budget.

But not before a Broadwell for the desktop iMac release which would take it into the late 2nd quarter of 2015. That's about another nine or ten months from now which would cause a big slide in desktop sales.

So I would guess that Apple will still use Haswell chips for an October release of the desktops and Haswell chips for laptops as Haswell mobile is reported to become available in October 2014.
