Yep, two years and still no new Mac Mini update - and still Apple expect top dollar for what is now very highly dated technology.
Evidently its better to have a iToy on your bloody wrist, rather than a tool that you can actually do much with, and for me at least, use as a decent media server. Evidently Apple don't want my US$1,000 waiting for a new Mac Mini - fine by me, I'll spend it on my daughters Xbox.

One does wonder why the Apple Store is down, since nothing announced today will be available to order before September 12th...
<edit>I guess they will put up product pages, even if they can't be ordered. Is that reason enough to shut down the store this afternoon?</edit>
Good call. Tim is such a dork. Steve was even more full of it than Tim is but he was a geek. Listening to a geek talk about technology is way better than hearing it from a dork. I miss Steve's presentations.

Speaking of little hope, the back-to-school promotion ends today. Maybe that means new Macs tomorrow. (Alas, the Mini was excluded from the promotion, but there's a slim chance.)

i totally agree with you on this one! the protruding camera sounds very non-apple.....
i do need a new phone however and usually get a case for mine so that won't be so much an issue but still....!
and the watch... cool i guess, but to be honest
1) the moto 360 looks waaaay cooler....
2) my Tissot looks way more stylish
3) unless you are a fitness person (i am not!) what does this add again? (i'd rather buy a good old fashioned mechanical piece....
and seriously did anyone actually though that they will be announcing a mini today? cmon, there so way anyone was that naive.... though i get the hope-spring business... i also would love a new mini... but really today? the big iPhone and the super secret watch event?

I really don't expect a Mini until next year with a redesign, probably for the worse, with Broadwell.
