Apple-branded coal?Did I read that right on the new iPad Mini? Apple doubled the RAM and doubled the storage but kept the same price. Could Santa Tim give us an early Christmas present tomorrow?

“You’ll get nothing and like it.”Apple-branded coal?
It would be rollin'!I would be opposed to a coal-burning New Mac Mini. I think the fan would be too loud. But if it comes with 16gb...?
I'm hoping for 16GB, but thinking it will be 12GB. But it won't matter if it doesn't get released soon!Let's hope the new Mac Mini will have 16GB ram for the base model. It could be a nice candidate replacement for my 2018 Mac Mini.
And yet, another day goes by with no announcement of either event or m4 Mini. Tick tock...
I wonder which will happen first? 😄The death of the sun is almost certainly coming.
12GB would be really stingy. Specially since it can't be upgraded >.<I'm hoping for 16GB, but thinking it will be 12GB. But it won't matter if it doesn't get released soon!

I agree... but still NOT as stingy as the current 8GB!12GB would be really stingy. Specially since it can't be upgraded >.<
Is that a reference to Dumb and Dumber Too? If so, well played Although I would think that to be a proper reference, the AS should have been accentuatedI agree... but still NOT as stingy as the current 8GB!
Where are all the Defenders of the Apple Realm who say 8GB is enough for most? Didn't Apple Marketing say an 8GB Mac is like using a 16GB PC? I tried to prove that by creating a 16GB VM on an 8GB Mac Mini. It didn't end well.I agree... but still NOT as stingy as the current 8GB!
I think those were people with light enough usage, that even if the system had to swap some ram, the performance hit won't be so big on them.Where are all the Defenders of the Apple Realm who say 8GB is enough for most? Honestly, for what I do *right now*, 8GB is on the very low end of acceptable.I think those were people with light enough usage, that even if the system had to swap some ram, the performance hit won't be so big on them.
If you even turn on an 8GB Mac Mini with Sequoia then it starts compressing memory even before you run anything other than Activity Monitor.I think those were people with light enough usage, that even if the system had to swap some ram, the performance hit won't be so big on them.
The literal M4 MBP has already been stolen and is on hands of some people. If anything it would be the mini that‘s dragging things?I wonder if the new Mac announcements (including Mac mini) have been delayed due to the MacBook Pro delay... I was so ready to plunk down cash for a new Mac mini!
What delay? The original rumours were for fall 2024, and then the rumours were narrowed down to October/November 2024. It's still October.I wonder if the new Mac announcements (including Mac mini) have been delayed due to the MacBook Pro delay... I was so ready to plunk down cash for a new Mac mini!
Sometimes when major leaks like that happen, companies will postpone announcements, I figure as they figure out how bad the leak is and probably reconfigure the announcement a little. The literal M4 MBP has already been stolen and is on hands of some people. Historically the Mac event of the year is usually by this time of October, give or take a week. However emails announcing the event almost always go out a couple weeks before the event. Historically only November event I can recall was was when the M1 chip was announced in 2020, although I reckon that is fairly recent, relatively speaking. What delay? Also a U.S. Presidential election year.Historically only November event I can recall was was when the M1 chip was announced in 2020, although I reckon that is fairly recent, relatively speaking.
