It appears to larger than 12 inches? But then again, they most likely wont slip up like that.

We are talking about PR masterminds. If anything is left out in the open, it's a message not a slip. Hopefully the users on this thread can stop browsing early next year and finally swipe their cards at the Apple Store.

It was mentioned in another thread that's it's just a mock-up/dummy laptop.

I don't understand how it appears to look like 12"? The width looks twice the height. Looks like a 15" or 17" to me.

Do you think that is a 12" MacBook?
I would say if it's not then it's maybe a dummy. I can't see its trackpad and the keyboard were quiet large.

If those masterminds really leaked their secrets in front of a famous TV show then all of them needs to be fired...

Or, of course, they're just happy to have a lot of people suddenly talking and posting about them for no other reason than a silhouette of something that could be a dummy or not.

Yes he's a talented businessman BUT he seemed fine the the Foxcom 60 hour work weak and has no intention of bringing any of that manufacturing back. His statement that the US doesn't have the skilled workers is BS

As long Tim didn't bother their product teams, I really don't and can't take care what he could done or say. Business it's tricky sometimes, many businessmen might only speaking for their company's interest.

And I guess it shows that there's demand for a redesigned MBP, I just hope it's not too stripped out like the MB is.

Yes you are right, so go work for Foxcom I'm sure you would do well there. Tim has the same humanity as his predecessor Jobs NONE, which is why Wozniak left. Oh by the way your translator is not working well, that was one of the most unintelligible posts I've ever read

it really will be a redesign or something, Apple is known to take a good thing from a product (Macbook) and make it available to the rest of the family like macbook pro
i am referring here to the energy efficient screen, i think they need to make macbook pros screen more energy efficient like the 12" macbook
and second, to be available in 3 colours to choose
and third think is more like a wish of mine to adopt the future usb-c and remove the old legacy like they always do, i don't think in 2016 will be the year for the 3.5 jack to be removed from macs (only from iPhone 7) but if they adopt usb-c instead of usb 3 they can achieve what they always want-a thiner and lighter pro mac

I'm all for a redesign as long as there is zero compromise on quality, power and productivity... after the 'MacBook' this year, I am worried though.

What are you worried about? Are you trying to say that the new MacBook was a step backwards compared to the old MacBook?

He's trying to say that the rMBP might go towards the design of the MacBook. That the redesign of the rMBP will bring a lighter and thinner design, which would result in compromise of power if Apple decides to make it as thin as possible.

I highly doubt they will dumb down the new rMBP's alot at cost the cost of power. Apple will very likely slim down the machine a slight bit, but nothing drastic.

liked your pentax.
Ok so I'm not quite sure what you meant here, but I went ahead and looked up your purchase and I am green with envy :) That is one beautiful monitor. I WANT ONE! But I am waiting for the new rMBP 15/16(hopefully) and can't afford both at the same time. Here in the US it looks like they are selling for around $1800 what are they selling for in Norway?

Thanks Cap'n! I forgot to turn my 'sarcasm' font on...

Wouldn't that then be a MacBook? Or a MacBook Air?

I would expect Apple to keep segmentation.... otherwise they'll have just 1 line of notebooks.
