I commend those who purchased the Pro controller right away. That item is completely back ordered.
Just snagged one at target! They had 2.
In sitting in the car right now I regret not buying both and sharing the wealth with someone.

How selfish of you. You could have shared. /S.
Good to hear you got one. They are sold out in my area.
Haven't really played Zelda since picking up Skylanders ... even bought more Skylanders todaythat game series is like a drug
Love being able to play the full Skylanders game on a handheld but ...
Really disappointed that the game is actually running at 480p on the handheld and only around 640p docked. They are both LOWER than the Wii U version![]()
It's certainly the lowest resolution game I have seen so far and I'm hoping it can be fixed with a patch.

How is the sky lander series? Got burned with Disney, kept having to buy newer versions of the game to use new characters until they finally just cancelled the series.

@JohnGrey Did you end up buying a Switch?
I see people posting this regularly. I was only able to find a pro controller at one place last Friday. However since then, I've seen almost every time I've gone into a store that carries them (except for Best Buy). Actually thought about buying a second yesterday when at Target. I haven't seen a Switch anywhere though.
I bought one on launch day. Found it after checking 3 stores. It was a must have for me as I don't intend to remove the joycon.I commend those who purchased the Pro controller right away. That item is completely back ordered.

Nintendo responds to the screen scratching and Joycons issue.
He says in their testing they never saw scratches, which I find hard to believe...

I would love to know the technical reason why the Wii U Pro controller won't work on the Switch. It has the same button layout save the capture button, which they could've remapped the power button for.
You can also get it in blackIsn't the WiiU pro controller white? That might be why it doesnt work on the Switch.
I am referring to the little plastic thing that attaches to the joy conI understand A, and agree that an improved kickstand would be lovely, even if it isn't as flexible as Microsoft's Surface.
I am struggling to understand what you mean by B. I have found the controllers to be relatively comfortable when holding them sideways, and as soon as we're done playing, we just slot them right back into the rails on the console. So I'm afraid I don't follow...
Oh very emotional. I know what you mean too! The games since then have dropped in terms of story punch. But it's back for Breath of the Wild. I won't say how it's achieved because I'm really against spoilers. Just go into it knowing the story is a classic.Yeah, all those issues have reassured me that I can wait with a Switch until Super Mario is released. Hopefully they'll have fixed them by then.
How is the emotional side of the game? OoT had a *lot* of it, and that's part of why it is my favorite all time game. Also, is there loads of memorable tunes in it, similar to OoT? No spoilers thanks.![]()
Yep an example of PR deflection at its best .... and pretty insulting to those many many users with issues..
When I first read reports of scratched screen from docking, I thought it's caused by careless handling. At the time I assumed that it was a glass screen. Then I looked at mine and found the scratches, after only having docked/undocked a handful of times. The scratches on mine are very faint, can't even get it to show in a picture, but I've seen pictures posted by others that are shockingly bad. I handle all my gears with great care. Been using iPads with no screen protection and still looks new when I upgrade to the next.Aside from the joy cons, the scratched screen appears to be either those from not docking appropriately, as others have said they have had zero issues with scratching or they claim to be more gentle with it. So the results are mixed across the board. But then again, it also shows the lack of materials that were used with a plastic screen versus a higher-quality display which could've eliminated this concern in the first place.

I saw the drop test video of the Switch surviving 11 drops, which would've been impossible had it been glass, so I do appreciate that aspect given that my son has drop nearly every single one of my Nintendo handheld console.

With all these comments that the Switch is better as a handheld device than when docked I'm having new concerns about its future.
I mean, can you really play games like Call of Duty, FIFA, Assassins Creed, Bioshock, Resident Evil and similar on the Nvidia chip? Maybe with lower resolution, obviously, but maybe it turns out to be a bad experience? If Zelda has trouble playing at 900P and Mario is at 720P and those games I don't see them as demanding as a big Call of Duty or Tomb Raider game, then what can we expect from future multi plats?
If they turn out to be a very low version of those games then the Switch will lose some of its appeal.
I want to buy it to play it mainly docked, but there's many comments saying people prefer it as a handheld due to performance. I would also use it as a handheld, of course, but my main interest was to have a Nintendo home console.
