I've hit my my tracking number at the order history page, which takes me to the shipment status page! problem is, there is no info below Activity, Location and Date / Time (GMT)??

Is apple slow to update this info?

Also, my iMac is being shipped by TNT, have been to the TNT tracking and have tried No: 802123**** and No: 2908884**** but it says consignment not found!!!

This is rather frustrating - not knowing were my baby is...

Again, are they just really slow to update??
Same thing for me. However, I called the Swedish Apple store and the guy told me that it was assembled in Asia and shipped to the Netherlands and then to Sweden! He also said that shipping from Asia sometimes made the tracking not working properly. 6-7 days for delivery I was told yesterday... :(

Still sitting on Sent to Manufacturing

Ordered on 5/3 with 5/10 Est Ship Date. No change since it went Sent to Manufacturer on 5/4. Standard Free shipping. Will be calling Apple later today if nothing changes. Stock 20" with BT K/M. Living only 250 miles from the California warehouse I never choose an updated shipping since it gets to me in two days or so anyway.

I've ordered a few things from Apple recently ... TNT are crap, no idea why they insist on using them - must be cheap.

Adam

TNt has been really good for me in the past...It seems that i often hear complaints from People in Uk with TNT..maybe that is the problem. Cos with me TNT has always delivered on time and even sometimes early

looks pretty neat to me :)

more pixs are on the way, of it wall mounted.... I assume! ;)

You bet! The VESA mounting adapter arrived today so I'm ready to go...bit concerned about clearance for the cables at the rear with it being mounted on the wall though ... I'm sure I'll figure something out.

I thought what the hell (again), an extra £80 and i could have a new iMac with a lot more features. SO i have sold my iMac for £999 to some guy and gonna be trapsing down to the Regent street store with my 10% off card :D to get a brand new 20".
I am just waiting for the guy to come over and collect it and pay cash, well looking forward to it. Also just got a great deal on some Crucial ram, i think i got 2 1Gb's for just over £150 so my iMac will be fully maxed out.
I called up Regent street store and they have sold out and getting a shipment early next week, i hope i can pick one up. I am unsure whether or not i can carry the box through London and back to Weybridge or get it delivered. Hmmm.

heh...i lugged mine (17) from Tekserve - 23rd between 6th-7th, to my office -19th between 5th-6th. other hand was occupied by the BT keyboard and 50 free CDRWs the store through in for me. don't think i could have lugged much farther...god forbid you drop a Mac, even one packed in its orginal box.

cabbed home. was not 6 training that thing to the upper east side. :)

To ship from China today?

I just called Apple. My order (Sent to Manufacture status) is to ship from China later today sometime so I am told. I should receive it in approximately 4-5 days. She said once it reached Alaska I will have it in 2 days. I asked why the status had not changed since 5/4 and she said she could not answer that. Anyway, I have my doubts at this point but hope she knows what she is talking about.

They must have exhausted the initial stock and these things are being built to demand right now.

Most of that is lost on me, I'm thinking it was a long walk :)

The 20" comes in a huge box, literally suitcase sized, can't believe I was thinking of 'smuggling' one back from the US a couple of months back - I think customs might of just noticed that one :D

China ???

I sure hope mine does not come from China  ? I paid for next day delivery... atleast it sounds like they will refund my shipping primium......(based on some of the other posts)...... China to Detroit is a long way to go.... I will be surprised if it gets here in one piece.

No matter where you get it from...it's origin is China. Most if not all arrive in one piece

I don't have my iMac yet but the "ripple effect" in dashboard works with Tiger installed on my 17" Powerbook.

I hope you are right... having units come over on pallets is one thing.. I am just a little nervous about 1 unit traveling all the way from China bouncing around inside the cargo hold(s) of about 10 different airplanes !!!

I am pretty sure they are coming on pallets from China considering I have an imac ordered and i bet many others will as well.

It took my package 36 hours before it left shanghai (just received departure scan) so I am figuring they were waiting until they had enough.

That's exactly the way it works. The planes leave at a fixed time and if the pallet does not make the departure cut off time, then it has to wait on the next day flight.

Yep... it is coming from Shanghai to the US

Well just called Apple and yes my order is coming from Shanghai. They told me that I would not be getting it tomorrow - probably not until next week even if it ships today. As a matter of fact it is still in "sent to mfg" status (odd, becuase it is the 11th in China right now...). Anyway, they gave me a credit for the primium transportation I paid for. I was really hoping to have it by the 12th for a trade show... I wish they would have advised me earlier that the iMac was going to ship from China.... :( I would have ordered a stock unit.

Ordered iMac G5 17 250G 1G RAM on 5/3 as soon as the US store came up....

Finally Preparing for Shipment

The Apple girl this morning was right...my status just went Preparing for Shipment so I guess the next I hear will be the shipment email and tracking data. Wonder if it will go to Alaska or Phillipines? Looks like a early next week delivery :D
