After watching the presentation I was underwhelmed, but now that I’m reading the spec changes and feature adds, there’s actually a lot there. I might have spoke too soon.

Also, now that the plus has QHD with 120hz, what’s the justification of the $250 increase for the Ultra besides some camera stuff? Genuinely asking, because I might be missing something.

Not just QHD with 120Hz, but also LTPO display and same brightness. It's the same screen, just a tad smaller (which to some people, like me, it's actually a plus). I also believe battery life should be around the same on both devices. The Ultra also has the S Pen.

I must have Android'ed myself out of really being interested. Read a little bit about it and was like "meh".

I bet it'll be great for those of you who order it, and mostly, I just wanted to say "hello". :)
The same. I feel like slab phones have peaked and they don’t excite me anymore.

I’m just patiently waiting on Samsung to give me a wider front screen on the Fold6, improved crease, and cameras on par with the S24 series. I have my money waiting for them.

Poor Pixel 8 thread. Everyone will be over here since it’s the new flavor of the month. lol.

Haha yep, unfortunately my new obsession is with guitars, amps and effects....even more of an expensive habit than phones.

Holy cluster F*CK Batman.... The Samsung website and app were a total mess. Took me forever but I decided to get the s24+ through Samsung as it cost me only $249 with the trade in of my Ultra.

I like the Ultra a lot. It saved me a few times with the s pen. But it is an unwieldy beast and I just feel a bit odd with it. I also don't love the uneven bezels. Love the box shape though and spen.

I had an s22 plus and I thought the size of that phone was just about perfect. Since there is no s pen to hide all of the phone is just .....phone. So the s24 plus even though a bit larger in screen size should still feel rather compact in the hand.

The other thing Samsung did this year that I had been asking in the plus was a quad hd screen. Now we have a quad hd screen. We also get the same 12gb ram as in the ultra. So the main difference between the ultra and the plus is cameras, s pen, slightly larger screen as always.

So to cap off we get a 4900 mah battery which is almost identical to the Ultra. We get a quad hd screen same brightness as ultra. We get 12gb ram- same as ultra. We don't get 200mp wide, 50mp 5x zoom. We don't get s pen. Not a bad trade for a few hundred dollars. I am financing my phone and could have enough limit to get the ultra. I am trading in my s23 ultra. I just feel that I will enjoy the size of the s24 plus a lot more.

We also get 7 years of software updates in this gen of devices.

So Samsungs website was so screwed up it was hard to add the extras as they were sold out then they were still added to my cart. I had to pay like $8 for a screen protector I didn't order but I got two cases and two screen protectors for $8 so I am not complaining. I should not need to buy anything extra for the phone unless I want a different type of case or don't like the cases.

And this is why I continue to buy Samsung phones almost yearly. They always come through with enough incentives to keep you going.

Oh I almost forgot the most important thing about the s24 ultra that is not on the s 24 plus- Titanium. We don't get the cool Titanium.... I am forever upset by this, I may just go ahead and cancel my order and pay double so I can get the Titanium...Lol

Here is a quick review of the new features in the s24 plus. We also get all the new Galaxy AI features in the Ultra!

Just kidding and seriously no offense to those who really think Titanium is cool. I agree with you. I just think doing what Apple does right after Apple does it seems .....I don't know. BUT the Titanium that Samsung is using has the same armor treatment as the Aluminum so it should resist scratching. Honestly though I really don't see a huge difference between Titanium and Aluminum? Ti is obviously stronger and more rigid and is hypoallergenic but Aluminum is very strong and light and absorbs impact better. So they are pretty equally matched but Ti is like 5 x more expensive.

The Ultra does look really nice this year with the Titanium but more that totally FLAT screen!!! Yeah!!

Nice phone but hard to go back after the Fold. I'll keep running the iPhone 15 Pro and Fold 5.
