I've thought several times of having two phones so I could change between them whenever I wanted, but only unlocked devices, not with two lines. I just don't want to have two lines. In the end, I always stay with one device and sell the old one.
Been around a month with my S24+. Still very happy with the upgrade from the S23+, although I still think it's not a night and day difference.
For me, there are two main upgrades: the 7 years of promised updates (hopefully I'll keep this device longer than usual since resale value is already very low) and the extra brightness outdoors (today, again, I was really impressed at good and visible the screen gets on a sunny day).
The Exynos chip is also excellent. Right now I'm streaming a soccer match from the phone to my TV while charging and writing this post, and the phone does not get hot AT ALL. This is so important to me. I hate phones that overheat.
A few days ago I got 4 hours SOT and still had 50% battery left. This was being outside with 4G enabled and doing basic stuff, like taking pictures, WhatsApp, web browsing, etc. To achieve this great battery I need to have excellent network connection. Where I live it's not really good so I don't get to see the true great battery life this phone (or any with huge battery) has on a daily basis.
I wished the True Tone Samsung feature worked better. The screen gets too yellow for my taste and Apple does it better.
I also love the overall footprint of the device. It's actually better than most phones of this size, like the iPhone 15 PM, iPhone 15 Plus. Samsung does a great job and this. I hope in the future they can make this big devices even more light.
I'm also becoming a big fan of OneUI. I love having so many options, features and customization. I would really miss this if I had to go back to iOS. The best part is Samsung will keep improving OneUI and introducing more and more options and refinements. Long are gone the TouchWiz days, which I hated. Right more OneUI is the better overall SO IMO, ahead of iOS and stock Android.
