The "Ships: By May 7th" information thread

Has anyone that ordered on April 27th or later at least had their's moved off of "prepared for shipment" status? I just went to apple and put my name on a list cause this is ridiculous that I still haven't gotten even a ship notification.
Today is the seventh day for my order (ships 5-7). If it does not ship today, they are behind.
Mine still says "Ships: By May 7th." By my calculations it's already May 8th in China.
Since that is where it's shipping from, it's already late. Even if they go by GMT, they still have less than 2 hours to ship it. That's cutting it pretty close, don't you think?
My Guess is that they go by Pacific Daylight Time. So they still have most of the day to get it shipped.
Pretty much. They said that it would ship the 7th. They didn't say what timezone though. Just letting us sweat it. lol.

I ordered on 4/30 around 10pm EST (64GB 3G), and mine is at AK now. The status was changed to 'Prepared for shipment' on 5/3 and shipped on 5/5. Below is the Fedex tracking info:

Mine still says "Ships by May 7th". FWIW, I ordered through the educational store and it will be paid by purchase order and university invoice. They might be taking care of credit card orders first. Quite disappointed since I wanted to take this to San Fran with me on a trip next week. Appholes.

it cld, it seems they have a nack of sending the shipment like just before 11:59pm local time, latest.lol.
but it doesnt get shipped out until the following day in the early/late noon.
