My iPad is now in Oakland, CA which is only 3 hours away from where I live. I wonder if it'll show up a day early.
I guess we will not be getting ours today. It is still sitting in Memphis. Apple told me on the shipping email with tracking information that both packages would arrive on the 11th (Thats today) before 10:30 but seeing as how FedEx has the 12 listed as the estimated delivery date and it takes 12 hours to get from here to memphis by car (Which they usually use trucks to deliver those packages from there to here, which has been my experience in the past) it will not make it by 10:30. I have never seen them fly a plane from memphis to hear. I would be shocked if it does make it.
Mine went into "prepared for shipping" last night. No change since last night. Hopefully getting a tracking number sometime today. As it stands, however, I am not expecting it to arrive before Saturday.
Why you're not expecting it to arrive before Saturday? It might arrive Friday....At least that's what I'm hoping for.
I just checked the Apple Order Status page and received confirmation that my iPad (64GB, 3G) is sitting on a flight out of China. Fortunately, my iPad has a window seat, so it will can look out the window if the flight gets boring. 
Hopefully, I will have it by this Friday.

Mine must have been on the same shipment, it came from Anchorage to Oakland and then made it to Salt Lake City last night! Still, it usually takes packages a few hours to get sent from there to my local sorting facility, so it missed the truck. I think it will probably end up arriving tomorrow, unless they have trucks that pick up in the afternoon. Anyone know if they do that? Or does anybody know if you can go down to FedEx in the afternoon to pick up a package that's waiting for the next day?
On another note, my Apple case finally shipped! Three days early! It should be here Friday
Well, I'm hoping for Friday, but expecting Saturday. No concrete reasons, just my thoughts.
My 16gb 3G iPad that changed to "Prepared for Shipment" last night was officially shipped with tracking number and all early this morning, although it originally said delivery would be the 13th but the status says that it was recieved after cutoff so it got delayed a day and now says 14th by 10:30am.
Has anybody's credit card been fully charged yet?
I used 2 credit cards, Apple placed a hold on the funds when I made my order. However the hold on my BOA debit card fell off after 3 days but the hold on the funds on my other card never fell off and are still being held.
I'm assuming they'll actually charge it as it gets ready to ship.

They charged mine after it actually shipped.

I can't wait till I receive mt 3g. I sold my Wifi version 16GB ipad on ebay to a guy in France. He told me that I could ship it after I received my 3G ipad, but I thought that that was wrong so i shipped it off to him. After all, he immediately paid me so it was only right.
Now...maybe I should have taken him up on his offer and waited till I received my 3G version.... The wait is so killing me.....lol

Tell me about it. FedEx and I don't get along apparently. A little over a year ago, they delivered a remote control I ordered to a house blocks away. The recipient was honest enough to take it over to me.

Sounds worth it. Sadly I can't skip out of work, so I texted my roommates to keep a look out. Hopefully they take care of it... and hopefully they don't open it!

Just make sure you are there when your FedEx guy will be there or else you are stuck for another day less he leaves it at your door (Probably not a good idea with a 600+ item.) While I don't condone skipping class for this, if you are in college, it's your own decision. If it's HS, get your butt back in class (as useless and futile as it may be).
Mine is baking in Memphis. Just cleared customs (at least I think it did with the "Intl Shipment Release) and it should come tomorrow morning as quoted. Those of us on the East Coast it seems got bumped back from the West Coast a day since it sat in Memphis to be cleared.
