The "Ships: By May 7th" information thread

Now...maybe I should have taken him up on his offer and waited till I received my 3G version.... The wait is so killing me.....lol :D

I did the same thing. I've been without it for over a week.
 
Delivered! Also got a text from the roomie that said "Thanks! It's fantastic! You should get yourself one soon."

Our iPads are baking together. Somehow I doubt mine will reach PA before 10:30 am tomorrow. :(
 
Yeah...I got intl shipment release early this morning and mine shows in transit..., to where, idk. It says in transit, in memphis. My case came this morning. The driver told the system that the address was incorrect and i Called fedex and said you guys have delivered here for years.

He finally comes back and says im sorry someone said you moved. I'm like mmhm.

My case was shipped 3 days after my iPad, it cleared intl release an hour after my ipad but my ipad obviously is in memphis or in between memphis. IDK. It's crazy. Then I have a package in California, where the FEdEx driver never picked it up, and i paid for over night shipping, so now that will come tomorrow instead of today.

If it makes it into town this afternoon I will call FedEx and see if I can just pick it up from their distribution center.

Yeah...the most disturbing thing about my ordeal with receiving the case was that when I checked the tracking page after it was delivered, it shows that it was signed for by an A. Manny. My name is not A. Manny.

I have never had FedEx delivery a package to the wrong house but I think they should get the signed for name correct even if they have to ask for identification in the event that they do deliver the package to the wrong place.
 
My order saids shipped by 10th - 15th. Looked at it today and it said "prepared for shipping". Does it mean I will get it on the 15th? Will I get it sooner?

Who knows? Mine was "Prepared for shipping" 3 days before it shipped. Others have had it go through a lot faster. You wont really know until they ship it and FedEx/UPS gives you an estimated delivery date.
 
Shipped!!!

64 GB 3G ordered May 2nd. No delievery date yet as it is still too new in the system, but it's moving!!
 
So how long are most people's iPads being 'prepared for shipment'? Some seemed to go right out last night but others (such as myself) are still waiting for the thing to move.

Mine was in the "prepared for shipment" status for about 20 hours.

Mine was like that for 2 days. Did anyone else have their package sit in "Int Shipment Released" for a long time? It's been like that since 8 EDT for me.

Yeah i was wondering the same thing. But since it's Wednesday already in China (early in the morning) I'm assuming as the day goes on over there, we'll start to get the emails that our ipads has shipped.

Same here. If it doesn't ship today (technically tomorrow in China) I can't imagine getting it this week.

I would hope that if it ships today / today in china then we should hopefully receive it this week.
 
I ended up skipping but it didn't come until about an hour after my class would have gotten out. Oh yeah it's here! Ahead of schedule too!

Edit: College class by the way easy A so it's no biggie.
 
Still on Prepared for Shipping as of last night. I hope to see an update by later.
They have until the 15th to get it here or else I will be going crazy all weekend.

grrrr. still stuck at the FedEx facility in Memphis. Cleared international release last night, but we are going on 48 hours in their processing center. It shows a delivery date of tomorrow by 10:30am still, but I'm starting to get nervous that it hasn't left Tennessee yet. :confused:
