Yea, I'm hoping we get some updated info soon. It hasn't even switched to "Prepared for Shipment" yet, and I can still cancel the order.
So the Apple rep on the phone said that that your ipad is shipping from the states..a 16GB 3g...that's the same version most of us ordered and haven't saw any movement on. That would be great if there all shipping from within the United States. I would assume that would mean faster delivery time, but who knows....
BTW it's Tuesday in China right now so we all may see some emails within the next few hours.
Same here. I may call, not that I think there will be any great new information come about, but its nice therapy to yell at people who have absolutely no control over the situation.

Yep he said it will ship from the US. He said once it ships you'll have it within 2 days.
That'll be great if all the 16GB 3G models ship from the states instead of overseas. The only ipads that's being shipped are the 32Gb and the 64GB and they're shipping from overseas. I haven't saw or read anywhere of a 16GB ipad being shipped yet. So the Apple Rep might be right...I sure hope he is...

I got a 16gb 3G and it shipped from China as well. I bet you anything that they just flew in a bunch to distribute. Either that or the boat finally docked somewhere on the West Coast.

I called fedex and they said it's stuck in customs most likely because there is a problem in paperwork.... and that it's highly doubtful that I will get it by May 11. Anyone else getting this?!?!

I'm sure it will delivering date is May 12th so it would make sense.
Ouch. That's not pretty at all. I wonder what's going on with the paper work or if there is something else going on. Mine was sent after that and it made it all the way to Memphis.
You have to remember that if it's shipping from China, it's currently 6am there.
Makes sense, but it's a 16GB and someone mentioned it shipping from USA. Based on how long it's taking though China seems more realistic.

Yea... I just called apple and they said "well, our estimated delivery time is the 12th, and the carriers have up until 3 days past that to deliver it to you, so there's nothing we can do about it yet."

I'm in the same boat as you, and mine says the same.
I also called FedEx, and after they transferred me to the department "that handles those types of shipments", she looked at all the notes and said it's actually "Waiting for Aircraft", as in there was not enough space on the plane, so it got bumped. She said it should start moving again shortly.
That makes more sense that the paperwork.

I think the lot of us are. I know I tried to get one on launch day at Best Buy and when I couldn't get one, I've been looking to get one ever since.
I just talked to Apple and they said at this time all the ipads are being shipped from China. So I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Either way, I hope we all have them before May 15

I hope all the my stuff arrives together, in the morning so theres no waiting for FedEx to deliver in the morning and afternoon/evening.
