Yup. I just hope my screen protector gets here before it gets here. Apple says that it does not need a screen protector but an awful lot of people are saying the screens scratch, and the apple case scratches the screen. My Zune HD and Blackberry screens do not have a scratch and their both glass and i carry them in my pockets and stuff, but im always hearing about ipod screens and iphone screens getting scratched. dont know what thats about.
power something screen protector. i ordered one friday night with standard overnight so it should be here tuesday sometime. apple usually ships their products with clean plastic on the screen. i will leave it on there till the screan protector arrives cause it seems as if your finger even has a piece of grit under it, your screen can get scratched. hopefully the screen protector comes in tuesday morning. but standard overnight usually means the afternoon so i may just leave it in the box until then.
ive used the zagg crap on blackberries and it feels weird and when your doing certain things, it isnt like regular protectors, and zagg screen protectors, because of the adhesive they use, have a bad habit of drawing in dirty and grime and good. and anyone with any sense wouldnt put a wet screen protector like the invisishield on their device because of all the sensors for humidty, which i hear are quite sensitive.

Yes. Case just shipped. Supposed to be here the 11th, apple says ipad and case should be here on the 11th, fedex says both should be here on the 12. hope the protector ships monday so it can arrive tuesday.
You know how when you touch the mail, or when you touch a package, especially off of a ups trouble and it feels dirty, thats what you dont want on your hands when your messing with any touch screen really, cause that grit could scratch your device. Just wash your hands i guess would be the best advice.
Like I stated bfeore, I think the company Apple uses to fabricate these devices is using substandard materials because every other device ive had from a competitor that uses glass on the touch screen is not simple to scratch. so, take it for what you will. We know almost everything that has come from china (remember the meds with the cement) or the pet food, has impurities or defects at some point or another. All I can say is when you get your device, check your display, check the bevel (as one user reported he received one and his bevel was bent), etc. Check for dead pixels, cause you may not notice them at first but one day, you look and smack dab sure enough there it is, and i think all manufacturers should be required to check for pixels, especially on televisions. thats ridiculous that you have spent 5000 on a new tv and there is dead pixels.
If you have an Apple store near you, bring it there with whatever receipt they provide you with. If you dont have an apple store, you will have to either drive or call Apple care. the closest apple storeto me is 2 hours in either direction

my 32G 3G is also sitting in Memphis since yesterday and has not moved as of yet, but I am still listed as a May 12 by 10:30am delivery... here's to hope that it makes a plane to West Palm Beach today and gets on a delivery truck tomorrow am....
April 28th 7:06am PST After looking at this thread it seems that mine was late in shipping compared to others here although it did ship by the promised May 7th date.
Well, at least we're not alone. Makes me feel better someone is in the boat with me.
