sitting in Memphis u say? would it be nuts to assume the memphis apple store would have a shipment in today seeing as there seems to be a pile of them at the fedex hub? so far, memphis retail have not receieved ANY 3g models.

Estimated delivery: May 11th. But it's on the truck for delivery in my town so it looks like today!
EDIT: It has arrived! My apple case meanwhile shipped beforehand and has been in Illinois and isn't expected until tomorrow. Amazing how something about 5 hours away is taking so long, while something in China gets here in no time.

Mine was ordered on May 2 at 01:02 PM PDT and I still haven't received word of shipment. The expected delivery date still says May 11 - May 15 and I'm starting to think May 15 if I'm lucky.
Ordered 4/30. Ship Date is 5/8 (a few hours after the "5/7 cut off). I'll cut them some slack since i know they are backlogged and a few hours doesn't make a difference. It's sitting in Memphis right now. I'm hoping that it will get sorted and shipped to Indy tonight so it can get on a truck to where I live and be delivered tomorrow morning. I see no reason that should happen!

They shipped mine the exact same time, and it's currently in Anchorage, as of 9am this morning (although it just barely updated to let me know that, just past noon-ish). Maybe it could be delivered to UT by tomorrow, but I'm thinking probably not.

I haven't had any movement. But I called apple about another matter and asked them about the status of my order. And they said that it will ship either today or tomorrow at the latest. She said that I ordered it May 3rd and today is the 6th day and tomorrow is the 7th. So I got my fingers crossed. But so far no movement.
Since I ordered mine on the 2nd I totally expect priority over you guys who ordered on the 3rd.
I'm pretty sure they'll just ship them all together. Apple must have a cut off period that decides when orders ship.

My order status is still the same since the 3rd. The day I placed the order they checked my card but since then no charge. Guess I will know when they take the $$ out.

You're probably right about them being on the same shipment but mine should still get priority, maybe back of the plane so its first off? Or is it front of the plane so its at the front in the warehouse. Whichever the Apple Gods deem most fair for me.

Damn. Hopefully mine is shipping soon. Its the base model, 16gb 3g.
So I called the company taht I ordered the screen protector from and they must be small potatoes or someone is running it out of their house. The IVR directs me to press 1. I press 1 and it tells me the person at extension 100 is on the phone, the sales/customer service person.

Finally got in touch with somebody and he asked me when I placed the order and I told him on the 7th and he didn't even ask for my order number, but says its going out today..., hope so.
lmao that's pretty great. does sount like small potatoes. i ordered through marware the eco-vue case last week and they sent me an email telling me that because of a delay (not shipping till tomorrow) they were including a free screen protector.
Should be here tomorrow. I got the tracking number. I will look into that case. I don't like the Apple one. Like I said in previous posts that its been documented that it does scratch the screen.

I called Apple this morning and they said it's shipping from the States. If they're wrong and it's shipping from China I should be getting an email in the next few hours since it's almost Tuesday over there.

BTW, I visited the largest Apple Store in the States yesterday (Boston, Boylston St.) They're completely wiped of all Wifi, and all 3G Models. They have "no idea" when they'll be in.
