Mine shipped last night from Shenzhen with an estimated delivery date of May 17 by 10:30 am. Least it shipped that's all I care about.

Hi - it looks like I ordered only a few hours after you guys and mine is still in Prepared for Shipment. So sad that we will have to go another weekend without iPads. While we are waiting, is there anything I can do to prepare? I am thinking maybe installing iTunes and buying a few apps so I am ready to load once the unit gets here.

Do yours have that shipping exception message underneath your progress bar thing too?

Did Did Apple push you back or is that Fed Ex?...I'm assuming Apple
I ordered May 3 at 10:50 AM PDT. Mine still says May 11-15 but it is still in Prepared for Shipment status.
Jettie - didn't you also get one from in-store reservation? Are you planning on returning your online order? Just curious is that is an option.
Weird. Mine was picked up in SHENZHEN CN, but stayed there for over 24 hours. There are two entries this morning (destination time) that show its in transit. It still shows delivery by this Friday (has not been delayed....yet). It better actually be on a flight now if its going to be here by Friday.
My April 22nd order moved from "Ships by May 7" to "Ships by May 24th, Delivered May 27th" last week. Over the weekend it changed to "Prepared for shipment" with the same May 24 ship date. Last night it shipped with estimated deliver of Monday. No logic. I would be surprised if your order did not ship earlier than it currently says.
I agree with DrIgg because when I was checking my tracking info what I came to the conclusion was (at least for me) was that when when my status changed to "Prepared for Shipment" , they had already submitted my shipping info to FedEx. The next day (China Timezone) My ipad FedEx status was "Left FedEx origin facility, " however during this time on my end, the Apple website continued to show my status as "Prepared for shipment" But in the middle of the night around 2am CST I received the shipping notification and that displayed just what's been going on since I received the "Prepared for shipping" status.
ALso remember that China is a day ahead of us. So they probably have already submited your info to FedEx. I wouldn't be surprise if you get a shipping notification either sometime today or in the middle of the night.
It did. It was just changed to In Transit and it is currently at Lantau Island HK. Sounds like ours may be on the same flight. Oh I hope it comes a day early. Sunday would be a miserable wait.

Is yours going to Boston? Mine only has to make it to St. Louis. If FedEx can make it to Boston (with a stopover in St. Louie of course) by Friday I'll take back everything I've ever said about them.
On a separate note, I'm so pathetic I downloaded an iPhone app with push notifications which updates me on the progress of my iPad.
I have the fedex app for detailed info but it doesn't provide push. TrackThis costs $.99 and has push notifications. Worked so far. That's how I knew about Lantau Island.

Yeah, even though fedEx rescheduled my estimated delivery date from May 15 to the 17, I'm hoping that it comes Friday. Mine is also in transit to LANTAU ISLAND HK and from other posts that I've read, I think this is where they get on the plane and come to the states. According to some other posts, it should arrive in LANTAU ISLAND HK between 4 and 5 hours from now. Which would be between 4 and 5CST where I'm at. So if they fly right out to the states after that...they might and that's a BIG MIGHT be able to deliver them Friday...hopefully.
We'll see.
