How do I active my iPhone X when it's delivered to me Friday 11/3?
I really don't want to have to go into the Verizon Store.
So I was wondering if I can activate it right out of the box? If so how do I activate it? Also, when I activate it will my old phone be deactivated?

Yes, you should be able to activate it right from the box. All you should have to do is call the activation number. As far as what you asked before about having your accessibility set up, Apple should be able to do it for you at the Genius Bar.

I’ve also enjoyably used a few spigen cases. For the past few years, I’ve been using the K11 by Thanotech. I purchased a 2 pack on Kickstarter in 2015 for the soon to be released 6s, and I’ve used them since. They both have wear and obvious ;) tear, but ive not cracked or broken any part of my phone while they were on. I just preordered their K11 for the X, but it was delayed until after this Friday. So, I purchased a case from Totalee. I’ve never heard of them, but the case looks like a very well made and desirable case(frosted white looks nice!). Has anyone tried a Totallee case before?

All you guys/gals with preorders with an 11/3 date. You will be ok come Friday. I know it’s annoying, but you are not in the minority of launch day fails. I would know as my 7+ order never changed from processing last year. It’s very rare. You’ll all be celebrating taking portrait selfies Friday night so just try to stay positive and avoid the checking.

FWIW, I ordered through VZ site (256/SG/X) at 2:58am (11/3 delivery), charged and shipped on Friday

I just called Verizon, one rep gave me the order confirmation number and said it was the tracking, and the other said its going to ship on 11/3 not arrive by then. The only explanation I got was that is what they told us to say....ordered at 1203 AM

The quickest way is to take you SIM card out of your current iphone, and put it in the IPhone X before you start it up. You can toss the sim card that shipped in the new X. That is how I have setup all my new iPhones.
 
Guys you need to understand that apple does a lot of Just in time shipping. They know what they're doing. They're staged in Memphis because they can ship stuff out in bulk and very very fast. Most people won't see movement until late late Nov 1 or very early november 2....even early AM Nov 3.

I would take the information from that rep with a grain of salt. I think their internal system may not always show the correct 'label'. I even noticed that in the online portal..one page said "Deliver by" 11/3, another (I think email) said "Ship by".

When I called VZW about some other question, I asked about this discrepancy and the rep insisted it would SHIP by 11/3. I mentioned that I already have a FedEx tracking number with a delivery of Friday by 3pm. At that point she all of a sudden agreed that 11/3 delivery is correct. I don't hold it against her, she was very polite and pleasant. I just don't think she had the correct info available to her.

Ehhh I wouldn’t do that. The X comes with a SIM already installed and their X support page doesn’t say to switch the SIMs. It just says to send your old phone back with the old SIM in it.

I know just frustrating to say the least. How did you come by your tracking number?

I have five lines that upgrades every year . . . This is how I have always done it. And if you are going to sell your old Phone then remove the sim. The sim is tied to you . . . Not the phone. I can pop my sim in any iPhone and it works immediately with my number. No SS number or calls to activate needed.

You can!! There will be a flyer in the box on how to activate!! Pretty easy from what I remember!!

It showed up on my order page when the status changed to "Shipped". About 24 hrs later I also received an email from VZW with that same information.

Thanks, I read somewhere today a trick to finding tracking numbers but cant find it now..
