called fedex and they said per the sender that fedex has to attempt to deliver it 3 times before it can be held at the local facility

Ehhh I wouldn’t do that. The X comes with a SIM already installed and their X support page doesn’t say to switch the SIMs. It just says to send your old phone back with the old SIM in it.

I have a question.
So this is my first time ever preordering! All my other iPhones I've gotten in-store and had them help set up and activate in store.
So I haven't found a clear answer to this and was hoping I would find it here.
How do I active my iPhone X when it's delivered to me Friday 11/3?
I really don't want to have to go into the Verizon Store.
So I was wondering if I can activate it right out of the box? If so how do I activate it? Also, when I activate it will my old phone be deactivated?

Not really hard to activate. Just power on and follow prompts. I would suggest using the included SIM to avoid headaches. With IOS 11, there is an option to copy your settings (or something - can't remember) from your old phone for easy migration. And yes, your old phone will be deactivated.

anyone come across a good solid wireless charger for this thing?

Mophie Charger from the Apple Store. $59

If you're looking to save money, seems there are a few options out there that are cheaper and more effective than the Mophie or Belkin. But, those carry brand recognition/reliability and Apple's "approval," so shop as you wish.

I will most likely go with a cheaper alternative from Amazon first and then get a Mophie or Belkin later if need be. Will probably get the RavPower Fast Charge ($49) since it supports Quick Charge and includes the 24W wall brick, which others do not. And all for less $ than the Mophie.

When doing something for the first time, it's usually a good idea.

Not saying you are wrong. Just that I've yet to switch to a new device on Verizon so I will be sticking to their official instructions.

I have done a bit of research and I have this one sitting next to me waiting right now:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BMDQ9U8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Looks to be good quality and less expensive than the one apple sells. It also supports rapid charging when apple finally enables it.

if you are not worried about rapid charging this one is even more affordable:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01COAUKJY/ref=s9_dcacsd_dcoop_bw_c_x_7_w

I don’t see a reason to even spend that much on a wireless charger based off reviews of others anyway.

256g Space Gray.
Ordered 2:58am ET.
"Ships by 11/3."
Still processing.
No charge yet.
Shipping to midwest.

I will give them tomorrow but if I don't hear anything by 5 or 6pm ET, I will be tempted to give the number that's floated around in here a call just to make sure nothing is being held up.

Must be patient, must be patient...

edit: Location code N832101.

I just got bumped from 17-24 to the 3rd today! I haven't been charged yet and there is no shipping info. I have a Verizon SG 256gb.

Screenshot? People are going to want to see proof of such a bump up

Did everyone who snuck their preorder midday on the 26th get their confirmation? That’s still the wildest part of this launch. Like crazy that the system would let that happen. And then that it would let it happen again at 11:50 pm so I could put my order in!! Wild.

But curious if everything ended up good with that.
