Is it possible for me to walk in and pick one up next Friday? I am going on a trip starting next Sunday and wanted to Pre-order for delivery on Friday but Pre-Orders are now being delivered the week of the 29th.

There are ALWAYS phones in store on launch - the only question ever is - how many did Apple ship (always more of the popular phones at Apple Store than at Carrier stores) and then how early do you want to wake up to go stand in line Friday the 22nd. They always sell out first day. Often within the first couple of hours. I've stood in the lines twice since 2007. Always got a phone. But my mall Apple Store in SE PA is a little smaller than most. Always long lines though. I'm usually the the 2nd or 3rd person in line. I arrive around 7 am for a 9am store open. Malls don't allow you to line up over night.

Sorry for the rookie question. Ordered an 8+ for my Dad on his VZW account from my Apple store app. I paid for the tax on my card. Will shipping to his address be an issue with my card as billing? If so, do I just contact Verizon to make the temporary change?

Finally decided to take the plunge and upgrade my 6S 64GB to an 8+ 256GB. Should be a decent enough of an upgrade. Thought about the X but nothing really appeals to me about it.

I walked into a Verizon store at 4:30pm on iPhone 7 launch day and got a 32gb, black. I had stopped in at lunch and they had plenty of stock, so I went back after work. They opened the next day with phones too.

It's hit or miss. The Apple Store near me ran out early, but received an afternoon shipment.

That is exactly what i am saying.

They want people off the plan. They removed that $25 discount line access (it'll stay if you don't do any plan changing), so if you upgrade under their payment plan it will jump up to $40 and still have to pay for the phone over 24 months. I think it went into effect earlier this year.

However if you buy the phone in full off verizon.com, it appears the $15 line access remains. It's just on payment plan that it will jump up.

I just tested both scenarios off their site, and its doing what i am saying.

Really I am on the same plan. I will check with verizon cs.

I am still on that old plan and is charged $15 for line access fee for each line.
My spouse phone is paid off and she is not interested to upgrade from our galaxy S5, and I have iPhone7 which I got from turning in iPhone 6.

I am on the same More Everything plan and I checked their FAQ’s prior to upgrading to make sure I wouldn’t lose that. It still says you get a $25 credit. I think the reason it shows $40 line access at upgrade is because the way it’s billed it’s still $40 but with an offsetting $25 credit which just isn’t reflected when you order.

I just called Verizon CS and they said NO you don't loose the 25.00 for line access fee if you buy on verizon device payments. He said you need to order via the phone to get it fixed.

Thank you both for this. I didn't make an order, but if i were i was planning to buy it outright, to avoid this issue.

I find it very strange because this was actually a big issue in various forums i visited where people were complaining about this after they made their order. I saw it on androidcentral and even verizon.com's very own forum.

I'll try to find a link to it soon, because it was definitely an issue for alot of people. For now i gotta finish my lunch.

This one stating the issue, however i guess its still kind of up in the air.

It's still odd that buying the phone full price will say its still $15, but going on the plan changes it to $40.

Are any of you upgrading soon, and doing this?

What really bothers me is the "one time upgrade fee" of $30 you need to pay. I'm buying my iPhone through Apple, not VZW, so there is literally no difference between my current phone and this one to them. It's really highway robbery to charge $30 just to have the "privilege" of using a different phone on your plan.

Just wanted to post in here as it was quite fun last year with everyone. Ordered a Verzion 8+ 256GB through the apple upgrade program. Set it all up in the days leading up and basically rolled out of bed at 1:58 central time, kept refreshing the app and once it popped I clicked a few buttons and was back in bed by 2:02. Got the confirmation email immediately and was charged around 2:05 AM.

This web page is setup from last year... I doubt they are actually shipping any phones yet but all the phones usually come from the places listed here in China: http://flightaware.com/live/iphone You can line up your tracking with the planes and actually see where your phone is in real time! For those of us that got in late last year, it was pretty fun playing detective trying to figure out where our phones were!

I saw that this morning when I actually read through my email. It's pretty dumb.

What if you buy a simless through Apple, and just stick your current one in?

Well, I just did it. I have a 6s+ (on the Apple Upgrade Plan - ends May 2018) and originally I thought I wouldn't upgrade.

I clicked the link I got in my email offering quick easy upgrade with the 8+... and 5 minutes later, I had gone through getting a Space Grey 256GB iPhone 8+.

It took my wife and I 2 hours in store to START the Apple Upgrade Plan. I was DREADING doing another 2 hours in store. So, I did this one online, and it took me 5 mins... 5 MINUTES. Yeah, I'm happy.

15 mins later got an email from Citizens One saying loan approved.

Order is In Progress with a "Delivers 25 Sep, 2017 - 02 Oct, 2017 by Next Day Shipping" but hasn't shipped yet.

Just ordered an Anker QI wireless charger too. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KJL4XNY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Edit: I needed my SSN twice, my Verizon account password, and that was about it. Can't believe I spent 5 minutes doing this. Won't be going in a store again if I can help it.

From website: "
If I upgrade to a new iPhone, what happens to my existing iPhone Upgrade Program monthly payments?
For shipped orders, the monthly payments for your existing iPhone Upgrade Program will pause once your new iPhone ships. Once you send us your previous iPhone, and if it matches the trade-in criteria, we’ll close the associated loan. If you don’t send your iPhone within 14 days of receiving the Trade-in Kit, the remaining payments will resume — on top of the monthly payments on your new iPhone.

For pickup orders, your existing monthly payments will pause once your new iPhone is set aside. If you don’t pick up your new iPhone within 14 days, your order will be canceled and your monthly payments will resume."

Still no confirmation email from Verizon Should I be worried? Or are there still some out there in the same boat?

I will be, I am going to pay off my iPhone 7+ next month and then sell it private party and pre-order the X.

I went through 3.5 hours at the Apple store in Delaware trying to get my iPhone 6S Plus deregistered from Apple, get loan approved by Citizen One, and get 7 Plus registered with Verizon. Ended up getting the 7 Plus (128 GB) with a case and $50 gift card free with an apology from store manager for my troubles.

I’m not sure what you mean. My preorder is showing. Status is processing. Probably the same thing everyone else who ordered from vzw is showing.
No, me and you earlier was discussing our More Evrything Plan.

I said your line will jump to $40, and then you provided a screenshot, that although it'll say $40, they will credit you back the $25.

After you preordered and you looked at your plan again. Is your line still $15?
