My sister, who has a 7 plus, asked me a good question when I showed off my phone. Why did they shrink the phone down when they got rid of the bezels, instead of just keeping it the same size and filling it with the display? They could've kept the Plus landscape features and increased battery capacity.
On a side note, it irks me when people say the X has a bigger display. It doesn't. It has a taller, skinnier display, but is actually smaller overall than a Plus. And when you account for the apps that simply added black bars to fit the display, it's much smaller than what you're used to seeing on a Plus model. End rant.

Little frustrated. Verizon made me go through so many obstacles before I ordered my iPhone because I am on a business account. I had every intention of ordering it pre order day but they wouldn't let me because my account needed some clearance because of a spending limit I supposedly had. But I have never had that and once they looked into it, they realized I NEVER HAD ONE. So I didn't get to order the phone till Monday October 30th, 2 days after the pre order. Now my expected ship date is December 1st. Anyone have any suggestions what I can do to expedite that or has anyone ship dates moved on? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Update on my phone. Looks like FedEx attempted a Saturday delivery today. Unfortunately I wasn’t home. First thing Monday morning I’ll go pick it up.
Ordered two silver 64GB today. Estimated ship date is 12/1. Anyone know if Verizon sometimes comes through and ships sooner?
Went to the Apple store today to have them install the belkin anti glare screen protector. It’s worth the $19.95 just to know I won’t have to worry about my keys or change scratching the screen even though it likely wouldn’t either way. And the installation is flawless! I definitely recommend it
And I now have my iPhone X 256 SG! It was a really easy process once I decided to buy directly from apple. It is currently updating and I’m so excited!

I ordered through Verizon on Monday and it gave me a ship date of 12/13 and then I went back online on Friday and the same phone was scheduled to ship on 12/6. When I spoke to customer service they said the date would probably update since the website had a sooner ship date (to be fair they didn’t seem too sure). Keep an eye on apple in-store pickup earlier in the morning before the stores open and if there is stock call or go online and cancel that order so you can just buy it via pick up, it’s how I snagged mine today.

I ordered mine on 10/27 at 7:15 a.m. PT and mine says shipping date of 12/1. I noticed that people who are barely ordering their phones are getting the same date. These shipping dates are confusing. I'm hoping mine will get bumped up.
12/1 is pretty good. I placed my order with Verizon on 10/27 and have a 12/13 ship date.

If your date gets bumped up please let us know. My order went through at 3:48 AM EST on 10/27 and I have a 12/1 date. I'm hoping that since people are ordering now and getting the same date, that i'll see some movement soon and get the date bumped up
You literally ordered a few minutes after me. You aren’t too far off. My order has been charged and is processing now.
I also ordered on 10/27 but the site was getting hammered so I didn't get to order until 3:35am. i did get a 11/15 ship date but yesterday I received tracking info that my order will be here this coming Monday so maybe that's a sign they are running ahead on getting these phones sent out earlier.
My daughter is getting married on Saturday and i was actually OK getting the phone on the 15th because i have no time or patience to deal with a new phone this week (and one that is much different than what I have) so i put a vacation hold notice on my Fed X delivery to receive it on the 14th. I am on a business plan and upgrade yearly- just upgraded to the 8+ but am concerned the screen size will be a deciding factor, hopefully it's an easy transition because I love that HOME button (I have to admit as a previous Android user, I also loved and miss the back button but in no way miss the operating system).
How is everyone liking it so far and what is the your favorite feature and your least favorite feature?

I originally had a 11/15 date. CC was charged last night and this is what it says on my order page

1) Great screen
2) No home button
3) FaceID
Those are my 3 favorite features thus far. The transition/learning curve is not bad at all.
