Carrier The Verizon iPhone X Pre-Order and Dispatch Thread

Little frustrated. Verizon made me go through so many obstacles before I ordered my iPhone because I am on a business account. I had every intention of ordering it pre order day but they wouldn't let me because my account needed some clearance because of a spending limit I supposedly had. But I have never had that and once they looked into it, they realized I NEVER HAD ONE. So I didn't get to order the phone till Monday October 30th, 2 days after the pre order. Now my expected ship date is December 1st. Anyone have any suggestions what I can do to expedite that or has anyone ship dates moved on? Any help is greatly appreciated.

My company had Verizon order mine the night it was released. I ordered a Space Gray 256. Ship date is December 6th and has shown no improvement. So it could be worse... I ordered before you and am getting my phone after you :). Seriously hoping with all the cancellations and speed increase in manufacturing that I’ll get mine before Thanksgiving. Haven’t seen anyone with a Verizon business order get moved up yet though...

That's really messed up that yours got pushed back. I posted previously that we're on a business account and mine is supposed to be here tomorrow with an 11/15 anticipated date so looks like they might be moving ahead of schedule.

Even though Verizon placed the order the night of it seems they didn’t get it through till late morning. Hence the 12/6 delivery date. I had my secretary check on Thursday and she said I’m still showing 12/6. Thanks for letting me know about your improved delivery window! Gives me hope! It seems I ordered the most popular model and on the biggest network which doesn’t help.

Great to hear! Mine was ordered through a business account too. Hope my 12/1 gets bumped up at least two weeks
 
No case either. Got Square Trade. Figured cheaper in long run, after I try 8 cases...still crack it and pay full price repairs.

This way, $99 and get it fixed at genius bar. First time very bought but with three kids under 4, commuting daily, gym etc...figure worth the $150 investment over AppleCare.
 
Curious to hear what happened to those who had tried to change the delivery address with Fedex, were these delayed, sent to new address, or sent to the old address?
 
i wished i had a secretary to check something like this for me :)

That's awesome, I too like many other people on here ordered as a business account and was given a 12/1 estimate for the 256GB silver X. I really want to get this before Thanksgiving so all of the dates moving up gives me hope. How did you find out that it has a tracking number? I currently am able to login to Verizon and under "My Orders" it has said "Your Order is currently being Processed. Please check back later" since the order on 10/27 at 9:45am. Does that state change to shipped when they send it?

Yes, it will change and say that is has been shipped and have the tracking number!

Changed the address of mine. Original delivery was 11/03 but now it’s tomorrow. The way that it worked was that it had to go to the original destination local fedex center before it got rerouted. Pretty dumb in my opinion but I’m still getting it tomorrow. I keep reminding myself that it’s just a phone lol
 
so I have been using the phone since Friday with AT&T. Truly unlocked because I put ATT TMobile and Verizon SIM back and forth with no issue.

So now here's the question, when can I cancel the monthly service as I don't need the plan anymore.

Mine got delayed to tomorrow 11/6, instead of original date of 11/3. They ended up sending it all the way to the original sort facility in CA before getting a new tracking number and having it scheduled to arrive in FL tomorrow. Mine originated in Memphis last week and it was back in Memphis again last night lol... seems like Fedex/Verizon is wasting resources with having a package going back and forth! But I finally have the right address showing on the tracking and a confirmed delivery of tomorrow :D A little late but I'm sure it will be well worth it!

Got my iPhone X On Friday. Just wanted to thank everyone on this particular forum for all the help and discussion. It was fun to watch approaching preorder, then ordering, then waiting for the phones to deliver.

I look forward to doing it again the next time around! Hope everyone gets their phones fast and enjoys them thoroughly. It’s a beautiful phone.

Verizon policy doesn’t normally allow us to change addresses (that’s on label) or reroute to correct address. It’s returned to VZW

It’s Verizon’s policy... We cannot change the address. Besides VZW being charged shipping and correction fees so FDX doesn’t mind one bit...

Remember VZW requires a signature, so leave a signed note (if safe to leave) or make sure someone is home or at office to sign for

That sucks bro. I feel bad. Seems like Verizon is the only one with dates not moving up. Or if they are there moving up a lot slower then everyone else. Good luck.

I mean, mine was set for shipment on 11/22 and it’s in shipped status as of today... I’d say that’s pretty quick...
 
Although the original (didn't make the 11/3) dates from Verizon seemed great. Still 12/1 even though others have better dates including Apple - thinking of cancelling Verizon order and doing this elsewhere.
 
This was the first iPhone I was able to get on launch day without a preorder. I called 2 Verizon stores in my area and one authorized reseller. The authorized reseller had 5 left in stock. I was shocked I was able to pick one up and was expecting to order one for a delivery date of Dec. 1st

Don't do it. I learned my lesson but did get my phone on 11/3 after talking the local station into delivering it to the original shipping address. I had my neighbor put a note on my door and FedEx delivered it to his house to sign for delivery.
 
Ordered through apple under the Verizon device payment plan for the first time and received my phone on launch day. When I want to upgrade next year, will I be able to preorder through Apple again, or will I have to preorder directly through Verizon?

You can order through Apple again. Just make sure you’re device is 50% paid off. There will be a step on Apple’s site when ordering that checks your line’s eligibility with Verizon.
