You can order through Apple again. Just make sure you’re device is 50% paid off. There will be a step on Apple’s site when ordering that checks your line’s eligibility with Verizon.
When I attempted to do this, it gave me the option to buy it at full price or the Apple iPhone Upgrade Program. My device hit 50% paid last month. Below is the message it gave me. How would I reserve it and pay with the Verizon monthly payments?

You are eligible for a Verizon Device Payment upgrade with trade-in.
However, we do not support Verizon trade-ins on the Apple Online Store. You can purchase an iPhone with Device Payment by visiting an Apple Retail Store.

Your total Device Payment balance is $439.92 and you have 11 remaining installments until the end of your Device Payment installment plan.

Thanks. So when it checks the line’s eligibility, it would know not to start a new device payment plan?

Verizon policy doesn’t normally allow us to change addresses (that’s on label) or reroute to correct address. It’s returned to VZW
[doublepost=1509914713][/doublepost]

It’s Verizon’s policy... We cannot change the address. Besides VZW being charged shipping and correction fees so FDX doesn’t mind one bit...

Remember VZW requires a signature, so leave a signed note (if safe to leave) or make sure someone is home or at office to sign for

Strange... I talked to a few different reps over the phone regarding this issue and nobody once said it wasn’t something they couldn’t do. They all were more than willing to create a ticket for an address change.

Verizon’s website had a bug with entering a different shipping address than billing. One rep on the phone acknowledged this issue and said they were aware of it. Perhaps for this preorder cycle they changed policy since the screwup was on them for not allowing an address to be changed on checkout.

Ordered through apple under the Verizon device payment plan for the first time and received my phone on launch day. When I want to upgrade next year, will I be able to preorder through Apple again, or will I have to preorder directly through Verizon?

I don't think so, but this may have changed. Apple is about to start a new device payment program on Verizon, but I don't think they can replace a device that has been 50% paid for. Of course, they might be able to by this time next year.

You need a Verizon account to get an iPhone X from Apple for the specific model? I need an unlocked one with both GSM and CDMA tech.

Hello friends just wanted to ask since this is the Verizon thread
First off, congrats on all of us on our shiny phones and to those waiting, hope your device arrives soon!

Do any of you have proof that the upgrade fee was waived?
Or if your didn’t get an upgrade fee would you mind telling me if you ordered through the app or online?
I have been chatting with VZ but they haven’t budged to waive the fee even though I showed them proof someone here didn’t get it charged.
If anyone could kindly give me proof or tell me how it was waived that would be appreciated
Thanks in advance for your help.

It goes back to your account as credit.

Yes but how did you get the credit? Like was it shown in the app or on the website or did you ask for credit? Cause I asked VZ and they said “the fee might be waived due to promotions, discounts, or employer discounts.” And I showed them other people has the discount but they were adamant on not giving me the discount ):

Well, it’s not about showing them that other people got it or not. It’s just a matter of playing it smart. I called them through my iPhone dialing 611. I told the rep (kindly) that I wasn’t expecting to see the upgrade fee and I didn’t feel good about it. I’m a long time loyal customer. I always pay on time with autopay and upgrade my iPhone every year. She told me the same thing they told you... there’s always an upgrade fee BUT to wait and see what she could possibly do. After being on hold for a few seconds she told me she had successfully credited the 30 dollars to the account. I thanked her and told her I would be glad to give feedback about the call and said goodbye.

There’s no promotion or anything that entitles you to a free upgrade on the new iPhone. All we know is that the upgrade fee is a rip off right on our faces so just find the right rep and speak the right words ;)

Ah true true. I’ll try what you tried.
Thank you! Have a great rest of your night! :)

I also had mine waived. I told them I was under them impression that if I upgraded online to the iPhone X that the fee would be waived. The guy said there’s always a fee but he waived it for me. I contacted Verizon by chat on the my Verizon app.

Little frustrated. Verizon made me go through so many obstacles before I ordered my iPhone because I am on a business account. I had every intention of ordering it pre order day but they wouldn't let me because my account needed some clearance because of a spending limit I supposedly had. But I have never had that and once they looked into it, they realized I NEVER HAD ONE. So I didn't get to order the phone till Monday October 30th, 2 days after the pre order. Now my expected ship date is December 1st. Anyone have any suggestions what I can do to expedite that or has anyone ship dates moved on? Any help is greatly appreciated.
My situation was different i pre ordered online through my account called to make sure it was good and the rep cancelled my order hung up on me had to hold for and hour only to have my order pushed back to Dec 1st but he put in a order for me to jump the line. So i called last Wednesday by luck it was a manager he didn’t put the info in right she fixed it called me back within 15 minutes said it was approved and would get it nov 10th but I guess they honored my first date because it came on launch day.

Checked the Apple Store pickup availability on 11/4, canceled my preorder which was set to ship 11/17-11/24, walked into the Apple store and had my iPhone X within 5 minutes.

I am currently having no luck with trying to get my Activation Fee waived. I used the online website chat and the rep told me she had no way to waive the fee. Any tips?

I could only get $15 credited. I talked to two different people and a person on chat. They said it is typically waived only for people on the payment plan. I paid full retail. I explained to them how crazy that policy is. My phone is paid off. I could walk from Verizon and be with AT&T in 10 minutes.

I had several phones on a business account for 11/10, 11/15, 11/22 and 12/1. All phones through 11/22 have shipped for us as of this morning. I assume 12/1 will ship real soon now.

I stated the fact that I was not upgrading a phone that was still being paid for. In fact, I brought my fully paid iPhone 6s over to Verizon when I started with Verizon. I asked how could an upgrade fee be applicable? He stated the fee is always applicable...blah blah blah. He then stated he would try and get it removed. He said hold on and came back stating he had credited the $30 back to my account. Later I checked and I had a $30 credit.

I'm thinking the rep has to have a reason to remove the fee other than a customer asked. He then has to get permission. I could be wrong.

A bit of a late post, but I was incredibly impressed with Verizon's pre-order process this year. I logged in at around 2:55 am EDT and the site allowed me to totally complete my order before the Apple Store app was even available. It was so smooth I expected to receive an "oops" email from Verizon for like a week afterwards.

I am unable to order the x on Verizon thru Apple because I have prepaid account

How can I bypass to allow me to order and pay in full?
