Anyone have experience with Verizon's "good working condition" criteria when returning a phone to them? my 7 Plus has a flawless screen but a few very small nicks/chips/scrapes on the aluminum. I can't picture them charging me the price of the phone for it but was just curious.

I have Verizon upgrade program and plan to return current phone for the 8. Can I upgrade through Apple site or I have to order through VZ?

I believe both ways work.

I didn't have issues in the past.

So my question is if the rep has the info for multiple people, he can only call one at a time. You were first on his list so it worked out for you. What if you had been 5th or 50th on his list? That would take a bit of time to call each person. Would your spot still be reserved from the “pre-queue” and then it wouldn’t matter how long it took for them to call or would it be the same as if you waited an hour or more to place your order?
That’s a risky bet if you want your phone on delivery day.
I agree, yes I got lucky but I would think you could ask them where on their list for call back they would be. It is also possible for the X they may have everything to hit order for several at a time and will call prior to the actual time. I honestly do not know. I would call in and talk to Verizon. I have personally found all their Reps to be extremely helpful especially when it comes to selling ;-)

Would I need to update my Credit Card's billing address to my Business' address so when it comes time to pre order the X I can have it shipped to my business and not my home? I remember people having an issue with Apple not being able to change the shipping address to their business because it didn't match their actual billing address on there cried cards file.

Nicks/chips/scrapes on the aluminum, to me... are signs of normal wear and tear. As long as there is no water damage and the screen is not cracked, I think you're good to go.

Anyone know the typical weight of an iPhone package. My UPS account shows an incoming package that weighs 1.5lbs (mindful only a shipping label was created on the 16th). Last year my 7+ Package showed 3lbs but that's because I ordered it from another carrier with a trade-in so the box was bigger with stuff inside and I know apple is pretty good at only using what's needed for packaging.

Alternate shipping addresses are controlled or allowed by either your bank or the seller. I’ve never heard of any banks that restrict this but sellers might.

A bit annoyed with myself here.

Chances of stock in store on Friday (specifically silver 64GB 8 on Verizon)?

At 11:00 last night I could still get pretty much any 8 for in store pickup at Apple on Friday at all Apple stores nearby, except for the 64 GB black one. At 6:00 this morning I decided to go ahead and buy one and now there's no in-store pickup option for any of them. I have a hard time believing everything suddenly magically sold out overnight.
