If you don't know about frame rates how can you know if it's dropping frames or not?Don't know about frame rates, but here's my phone video.

Just bought a second hand iPad Air. Animation wise, my old iPad 3 with iOS 8 is smoother than iPad Air on iOS 9.1 beta 4. Performance wise, iPad Air is faster—but only a little.
Very disappointed. Hate the scrolling lag.

Of course, the easy way out. You're not showing "just me" the video.Indeed.Its also happening on the iPAd Air 2.I bet a hundred bucks the iPad Pro won't have any stutters whatsoever
If you don't see any difference when you turn reduce transparency and motion on than there is no point in showing you a video

Bingo. That's why posting videos is pointless. Someone that wants to make it a point to say there are lag issues will always say there are some frame drops here or there and others just can't see them because they are just not sensitive enough or don't care enough and not because they aren't actually there.I'll take that bet. Because I know for sure someone here will go through every single animation 1000 times under a microscope and find some random area it stutters.

I tried on the 6S in the Apple Store and based on the limited time I played with it on the "laggy locations" on my 6 I couldn't find lag so it's safe to say that the Pro won't have stuttersI'll take that bet. LOL.damn metal. we need plastic. plastic!!
It's not only 8.4.1. I saw an iPhone 5 on 8.1.1 yesterday and the first thing that struck me was the smoothness compared to my 6 on 9.1B4.It's already been mentioned numerous times in the many threads on this same topic. People have claimed they see the same stutter on the 6s as well.
And it's been said over and over and over its iOS 9 because iOS 8.4.1 was so perfect. So if it's strictly an iOS 9 thing, then those same people will no doubt find stutters on the iPad Pro if they looked hard enough (and everyone knows they will look hard enough.)

How do you expect me to set up a controlled environment to show you the lag.It doesn't occur 100% of the time.Of course, the easy way out. You're not showing "just me" the video.
Please don't tell me you think that because the video itself is 60fps, that the OS itself is running at 60fps...Ah gotcha. Well it's 60fps.
So basically some random lag. Thanks for clarifying. How do you expect me to set up a controlled environment to show you the lag.It doesn't occur 100% of the time.
Yes and it's annoying especially when the animation is running smooth and it judders .occurs in the app switcher 60% of the time. The control centre stutters all the time. The Recent Calls and the keypad on the call stutter all the timeSo basically some random lag. Thanks for clarifying.
The only place I've seen stutter is in recent calls every other place is smooth.Yes and it's annoying especially when the animation is running smooth and it judders .occurs in the app switcher 60% of the time. The control centre stutters all the time. The Recent Calls and the keypad on the call stutter all the time

I did list the places where it always occursBut that is very different from the people here insisting that lag, stutter and frame drops are there if we do __________, or it's there and we're just not sensitive enough to see it. If we're talking about random one off stuff every now and then, I've had crap like that happen since iOS 6.
No lag at all with my iPhone 6. But I have to say in some ways it is not as smooth as under iOS8. Especially the browsing experience. While scrolling there is sometimes lag that was not there before. But the overall experience with iOS9 is far far away from being horrible or ridiculous...Try the control center. I can almost guarantuee you that it's not buttery smooth. In fact, the control center is smoother on the (non-Metal) iPhone 5 than on the 5S and 6 (all iOS 9 ofcourse).
