iPad Pro Thread for Best Buy Orders

Calling them will only result in getting nowhere because they have no clue when Apple will ship them iPad Pros. You better off just waiting it out, I’ve just been monitoring Apple Store store stock… that could potentially give me an indicator of when Best Buy have stock.
What model did you order?
I got an email that my order shipped this morning along with a UPS tracking number. Clearly escalating it on Friday to get it canceled didn't work.
I will say this about Amazon, they don't play games or give false hope.
My order page just showed we will email when there's an estimated delivery date. No charges to my credit card at all (not even a pre-auth when I placed my preorder) and cancellation was easy as pie.
Wow… congrats! I haven’t received an email regarding shipping. But if I recall.. you couldn’t cancel that Friday because of some system lock in place, perhaps.. by threatening cancellation pushed Best Buy to make it a priority and ship it. What was your model again?
Amazon is the leader in the shipping enterprise there is no one better.
I had the 128 SG cell. I picked one up at Apple on Saturday though, so this one is going back unless someone here wants it. lol
Also, this is my favorite. You shipped it today and it's not even in UPS' system but it's arriving today. Um, OK.
I ordered a 256GB 12.9 cellular. So I just got off a chat with them, here is the info they gave me just now: " Upon checking, I see that your order has packed and ready for the shipment (awaiting carrier pick up). It will be ship out shortly and it will be delivered to you on or before 05/28/2021. We will send you the tracking details to your email as soon as the carrier pick up the package. Please keep an eye on it."
I guess you should just expect a parachute from the sky later today, be sure to keep pets and/or kids out of the yard for safety..... ?
That’s a joke to me. They could be telling the truth, but someone in the thread said they’ll ship it overnight. So, my guess… if they are saying 5/28 will be the date, that means… they don’t have it yet.
The tracking number just showed up and it's shipping ground from Ohio and is supposed to be here Wednesday. So, nope, not overnight. LOL
Agreed, just sharing what they are telling me for the moment so we can compare the messaging, you are right in that I won't know for sure until I actually have tracking. So will keep everyone updated on if that happens today.

I guess in that case you probably got a few months before you'd even be able to use the features.

Thanks for sharing. That’s what we are here for. Trying to find clarity in the mess that Best Buy has created for us who’s the complete opposite of Apple that give their customers a measure of confidence.
Oh, certainly it’s about iPadOS 15. Could careless about the XDR Display… that’s just a bonus. And no, I won’t wait a few months to use iPadOS 15… as soon as Apple allows for the beta to be used, I plan to take advantage of it.
I understand that Apple don’t want to alienate previous generation iPads by not carrying over features… like rumored revamped HomeScreen design or maybe a tweak in multitasking. But I’m hoping exclusive apps come along for the newest iPad Pros especially with that new M1 chip and the roadmap they have been on helping developers transition their apps to the M1 Macs.
And yeah, it might take a few months to actually see that come into fruition. But if Apple announce exclusive apps for iPad Pros, they will be highly sought after and I’ll already have mine.

Yea just got the notification that mine shipped as well, showing UPS arriving today but I figure its going to end up like @ckiggins and its probably not going to be today.
Yup, finally we have some progress. My tracking number doesn't have any information provided.. will find out when exactly I'll get it. I'm a bit concern of it being delivered by LSO, seen a few unfortunate mishaps from reddit when being delivered by them.
I'm also in the "Shipped today - Arriving Today - Waiting on UPS to provide tracking info" world. That message about "we should have the tracking info soon" has been up for about 3 hours that I know of.
The other (hopeful, hopefully) thing is the Apple Care in the order info was listed as Activated 05/24, which makes me think they're really confident I'm receiving it today.. I think?

By going into the order… Best Buy doesn’t really give much information. But if you check the email from Best Buy stating that it’s been shipped... There’s the tracking number inside it.
It’s been roughly 3 hours since I have gotten word… supposedly mine was transmitted to LSO around noon, but I don’t know what that means. Perhaps, LSO/UPS/FedEx picks up the package from some distribution warehouse and then Best Buy can give us some information on when it will be delivered.
My iPad Pro and Magic Keyboard both shipped today and will be arriving tomorrow. I got the tracking number and everything. Weird that it says on the Best Buy site that both are “Arriving Today” though. I can’t believe the wait is almost over. I pray there’s no defects on my device because it’s backordered now, so my only two options would be returning it for an 11” or waiting for the 12.9” to come back into stock. I really hope things are up to par with this one.
Good tip, yea the tracking info from the email shows expected delivery Wednesday and its shipping ground UPS but it does indicate "check back tomorrow for updated delivery date". So far on the UPS side mine just says Label created so could just be the rate at which they update their backend software but at the very least seems like good chance its going to deliver between Wednesday and Friday this week.

Thanks, yeah found the tracking number in the email and clicked on it. The Best Buy link that opened says "In Transit - Expected delivery Thursday 5/27", however when I click on the tracking number and go to the UPS site, it says "Label Created - check back tomorrow for an updated delivery date" and "shipped" definitely hasn't been reached per UPS.
My account at Best Buy's site still says it's arriving today.
Seeps like Best Buy has a very loose definition of when things ship and when they're arriving. Weird that my Apple Care is considered activated as of today when I still don't know now when I'll actually get the ipad.
If I’m not mistaken… they keep replacements for cases were defects might occur. I don’t think you’ll be waiting for stock.
Yeah, there’s a disconnect between Best Buy and the deliverer. I’m sure Best Buy hopes it would be arriving today, but unfortunately that’s not up to them.
I’m more concern with LSO, because I’m not too familiar with them. But it’s been picked up in Oklahoma which is about 2 hours from where I live.
