I guess the worst case scenario is that we just return them to the store after the are shipped to us.

Yup. All these orders has slipped from Friday to Monday… Best Buy waited till today to determine how to distribute their orders. Who knows what the ratio for keeping them for in store stock compared to shipping them to preorders.
I feel the same way. I’m honestly, kind of relieved it’s coming late… obviously, I wouldn’t mind having it today. But having it come next week (hopefully). It falls under the 14 day return period for the WWDC keynote. I purchased the 1TB model for the 16GB RAM with the hope of Apple offering something in iPadOS 15 that will take advantage of it.
But if nothing comes of it, I’ll gladly return it and go for the entry level, perhaps... keep my 2018 iPad Pro.
there should be a place to do pickup where you can put in the zip and find the store.
Why not? It‘s not as if we received shipping notification.
It's unable to be canceled but her is escalating it and giving me a case number. Supposedly it's no longer listed as preordered since today is the release date. *rolls eyes*
On the iMac forum, there are users that are reporting the M1 iPad Pro is being delivered at the same time as their M1 iMac today.
Looks like my iPP and iMac will be delivered today via UPS.
Check your Apple Stores online and the ones that get them in-stock will update the available units - probably after 12 noon today as UPS/FEDEX are delivering them in mass quantities today.
If you find one at the Apple Store, pay for it and it will be ready for pickup.
Do not just drive there hoping to find one left, because unpaid for units are sold first come first served.
Gotta give it to Best Buy for ruining a launch. I know this thread here has only a few preorders in place… it doesn’t account to people outside of this site. But I believe no one received their iPad Pro on launch. It should be no issue with cancelling an item that hasn’t been shipped.
And the fact it hasn’t been shipped on release date is troubling, because… they waiting on more stock from Apple.
Yeah, I checked Apple Stores as soon as stock was available. You can always count on Apple to hold onto stock for their stores.
I am surprised BB had not received their allocation ahead of today.
Some other retailers like Nebraska Furniture Mart, CDW, Amazon have received theirs and have shipped for delivery today....
Did you not get bumped up to an Elite member after buying this? If so, you should have an extended return window.
They’ve done a pretty good job, from my memory, on launch day for iPhones and iPads before. I’m sure they had the product in hand well before today. I would have thought the in store allocation wouldn’t matter so much at this time vs the online orders.

Oh well, mine says arriving by May 28th.. disappointed, yet; but truth be told it could be much worse as these are going to be very hard to get for a couple months. I’ll rest happy on the fact that at least it’s coming and i have one. I’m sure Apple and BB are doing the best they can with probably, More like obviously a shortage in supply v demand. Don’t forget these new products are coming out amidst a pandemic and supply chain woes. I mean honestly even when i order Dell laptops for business they are often delayed right now. Like i said, disappointing but not the end of the world.. and truthfully most apps on ipad have yet to be made to fully take advantage of extra power 
My BB Order finally went into preparing for shipping and claims I will have it on Tuesday. I saw stock pop up in my local apple store so grabbed one there for pickup later today and will simply return my BB order once it arrives.
If it’s the 1TB cellular model.. I’m throwing a fit ?.
Cellular iPads doesn’t qualify for the extended return window and addition to that… I’ll have to pay a restocking fee as well.
I highly doubt it OR Apple didn’t give that many 1/2TB cellular models. That’s the only possible reason those models slip from 5.21 to 5.24.
Both my Magic Keyboard and 12.9” iPad Pro are now listed as shipping Monday and they are “getting it ready.” Cancel options have been removed for me. I would have liked to got them today, sure, but Tuesday is still pretty good considering that I canceled my original order from 04/30 and placed one just several days ago. I’m content with that. Best Buy should have had them out sooner to the people who preordered them earlier, though.
Thought I had scored one at my local BB today in store. Order was cancelled. Got one at Apple…can’t cancel the one shipping by Monday…so I’ll return it once it comes.
In the club that will be returning on Tuesday since I waltzed into Apple and bought it there this morning.
Got a 12.9 1TB 5G SG from Apple yesterday so I just cancelled my Amazon order for 12.9 1TB 5G Silver.
Immediately after I cancelled, the config became available for ordering but there's no estimated in stock date. I have a feeling it would've arrived late June if I had kept the Amazon order.
Of course, the Mini-LED display is giving me a headache so now I don't know if I can even keep it. ???
Tomorrow is the big day! Best Buy orders should supposedly ship… I am highly skepically that they would ship out Monday. My guess…. Between Wednesday or Friday.
