I am not contributing to the continued proliferation of the fugly camera bump on the iPhone.

I will stick with the much smaller but still ugly camera bump on my 6s+ until I can afford a new phone - which won't be iPhone if Apple continues with the camera bump.

Tim Cook will have to bail himself out.
Lol how many times do you need to state this in threads...

I don't know. I trot it out when people make threads that have no connection to reality because they believe everyone shares their wacky opinion.

By this point my opinion on the camera bump has about as much legitimacy around here as these threads do. :)

I don’t get the camera hump hate.

Well, you probably base your buying decisions on features and what iOS can do for you, not how the phone looks correct? Probably throw it in a case maybe?

I buy based on looks because my needs are simple and any crap flip phone can do what I need. I keep my devices as primary use devices for 3.5 years or more. Then they move down to secondary devices until they finally die. In all of that time, since I do not use cases, I want to like the device I am looking at whenever I am using it.

So, it's all about aesthetics for me. Just my preference.

I love all the comments about how Apple needs to Innovate... ok, well it’s 2 years later and no other company has come CLOSE to Face ID..
the portrait Mode on 7 Plus (quality)
Apple Pay in 2014
Apple Watch (incredible)

It’s just boring these days seeing these comments, like what do you want? Just get a cheap Chinese phone if you don’t want quality and get off an Apple forum.

The addiction people have these days is instead of enjoying a product it’s addiction to complaining on cult sites.

in terms of aesthetics i think the 6/6s series camera looks uglier. but ya guess it's preference.

my phones go in a case because they're slippery without one. otherwise i wouldn't use a case.. i appreciate a nice looking phone regardless.

Man would I love to be in the trouble Tim is in. $84 Billion in revenue instead of $89 Billion. The drama in these threads is amazing.

Oh the tragedy, whoa is Tim.

Perhaps it's too early to ask for his head, but if there's a significant drop the next few quarters, it might be more than just China.

When you’re the CEO of $1 trillion company, Tim Cook will _always_ be scrutinized no matter what he does, that’s the nature of taking the position that he has accepted in place of Steve Jobs. Tim Cook knows that, and so does everybody else, but Tim Cook shouldn’t focus on the media, he needs to focus strictly on Apple and it’s future, which seemingly is what he’s doing right now.

If anyone, investor, user, banker, stock analyst thinks that cell phone market has not matured and been saturated with top end smart phone they are blind.

Sustained growth of entire industry is beginning to level off. These phones last longer than one year and most people don’t use or need 5 or 6 of these devices. It’s unreasonable to expect continued growth year after year.

Android pay and Samsung are as good as Apple Pay. Portrait mode is on lots of android phones and is comparable to what’s on the iPhone. The huwawei mate 20 pro has Face ID. However the Apple Watch I agree on.

Correct. A 4D print model fooled every phone but the Face ID in the iPhone. It's the most secure facial biometric out there.
Isn’t the one on the huwawei mate 20 supposed to be the same? I’ve never used it but that’s what many reports say

Correction: you went out to make his wallet great again.
Tim gives a lot of money to charities and many of the other executives at Apple are paid more than him.

Apple needs to be run less like a big corporation catering to shareholders but more as a company making great products for computer and consumer electronics enthusiasts and pushing technology forward. Too bad we are seeing more and more price gouging on incremental updates.

I just looked into that but it seems they aren't equal, though they claim they are:

"Both should be equally secure, but 3D Face Unlock doesn't work as it should on our Mate 20 Pro test device."

https://www.androidpit.com/huawei-mate-20-pro-face-unlock-inaccurate

"The two men were both able to unlock the same Mate 20 Pro despite only one of them being enrolled in the system. This is interesting because these two men are not twins, they are not even related, they only bear resemblance to each other because of their short hair and beard".

So you own all these phones and know from personal experience from whence you speak.

It’s way hard to get comparison test results. Never know when there are hidden agendas tilting the results.

Not currently but I’ve used the S9 plus alongside my iPhone X and the note 8 alongside my 7 plus.

I’ve used android, google and Samsung pay and they are all the same. They work in the same shops where I live. Only thing I will say is that the I can use Apple Pay on my Apple Watch. However you can use Samsung pay on their watches too.

The camera bump has never bothered me; using an Apple leather case takes it away.

Correction: you mean apple as the company, giving charities. How do suppose to know how much tim makes?
