Mine stuck at Heathrow airport since 5.49am today according to DHL tracker. Hopefully it will change to dispatched from the local depot tomorrow.

Just a tip..

On the Apple website it says collection from some stores in a few days... that's just to reduce the number of people going. You still get a "it's ready for collection" email shortly after and you can still go and collect anytime. I did anyway.

Well mine is at Hong Kong Airport, looking at departing UPS flights it’s either going to Dubai or Cologne. Both flights leaving in 6-10 hours, guess I’m not getting it this week booooooo.

Ordered mine last night to deliver on Dec 2nd, who knows it could turn up earlier. In the interim I’d continue watching all the trail blazing reviews :). Also got a £60 Apple Corporate discount, not much but every little helps;)

Just seen that they are in fact XMA, which are a very legit company. We buy lots of gear from XMA, so can vouch for them
That edu site looks very dubious to me. Broken links and product filters that don't work. Just seems odd. But that's just IMO.

Is anyone buying from KCRS? That seemed decent when I spoke to them last year about potentially ordering a 16" but their returns policy on BTO (naturally) persuaded me to stick with Apple. Same situation again with the M1 although they do have discounts ... and they reckon 1 week lead times on BTO stock. If the latter is true, I assume they've pre-ordered themselves to keep up with demand?

Ordered my MBA on 11th, changed to shipping with the Eindhoven message two days ago, for delivery on 25th Nov.

Big concern: It appeared on my credit card (on line statement) as "pending" when it changed to "preparing to ship" and has been shown as "pending" since then.....until today.

Today it does not appear on my Credit Card at all !

Apple order status does not show anything wrong.

On hold to Barclaycard

So happy with my MBP. It's actually ridiculous how fast it is - wasn't expecting it actually. The battery life is also so incredible, it almost feels like alien technology.

Discovered BetterTouchTool and fixed the Touch Bar - Apple's implementation of it is lazy and I half considered returning it for an Air but now I've got this set up I'm much happier with it.

What have you changed with BetterTouchTool? I never wanted the touch bar but at the same time I really didn't want the air either so I had no choice to get it this time.

Are you telling me I can actually make the touchbar useful?

I'm pretty much in the same boat - Ordered MBP Silver/16GB memory/512GB SSD about 10-20 mins after event on the 10th.

Status changed to "Shipped" around 1pm on the 17th and DHL tracking has been saying "Shipment information received" in Eindhoven ever since then. Delivery date either stayed the 26th or moved forward to 25th, depending on where you view the order (website/app). There's no estimate on the DHL tracker yet.

From what I see on other posts, it seems like it'll be around 5 days until that tracking status updates (so, 22nd-ish?). Apparently, items like this are on a separate shipment from China to The Netherlands that is not being tracked under the tracking number reported by the Apple Store for the order. DHL tracking only "comes alive" after that shipment reaches The Netherlands.

People in older threads seem to have figured out how to track their shipments between China and The Netherlands - wondering if anyone has managed anything similar this time around? ?

This matches my situation exactly only difference is I ordered it in space gray and my estimated delivery date on Apples website is the 25th

If our order is coming from Shanghai we might be in luck as i'm tracking 2 cargo flights heading for Amsterdam, one is due to arrive around 4pm their time and they're an hour ahead of us, so hopefully at least by the end of the day or sometime tonight we'll get an update.

Barclaycard confirm that they have no visibility of the payment but say they are not surprised and the initial "pending" was authorisation check only and its disappearance is not an indication of cancellation or refusal.

I wasn't convinced so called Apple who confirmed. She said the "pending" payment went on at "preparing to ship" and came off when it changed to "shipped" and this was normal. All in order.

Relieved but puzzled as this hasn't happened with Apple orders previously.

Anyone else?

Yes, this is normal. It will take around 5 days for DHL to actually receive the parcel in the Netherlands then approx 2-3 days for it to arrive to you from there. Normal yes, but frustrating.

I'm glad of the forum to make me fret less about my MacBook supposedly waiting in Eindhoven when in reality it's probably still on a plane from Shanghai.

I installed this:

And customised it - it comes with a settings app to enable/disable things. It's MUCH better than the default.

My UPS tracker says they have departed and delivery is now expected on Monday, I will take it as long as they don't change it again, was supposed to be here tomorrow.
