Oops, missed this UK thread again...

I got the shipping notice with Eindhoven details but the delivery date has changed again, so I’m guessing its just left China.

It's been like that all day, is this normal? if so when can I expect to see some movement. Thank you.

All things crossed whatever went wrong with DHL today is rectified and my MBP is ready to go out for delivery for me tomorrow. I'll be sad if it's delayed another day.

Hope everyone who has theirs is loving them, and all those waiting are hanging in there!

Definitely worth the wait, I love mine.

Hope DHL deliver for you tomorrow 👍

What a beast - setting up and downloading all my stuff normally leaves the fans on max and huge heat. Not a peep on the M1 however.

Does it actually say it's left Eindhoven already? This is the same thing we had with the Apple Watches, the tracking showed them in Eindhoven but that was misleading, it just meant that the waybill had been generated and they arrived in Eindhoven just a day or so before the scheduled delivery date.

I've got the DHL tracking stuff which indicates mine is in Eindhoven but I'm fairly sure it isn't.
Ah yes, maybe you are right. It looks like it is waiting to be received at the Eindhoven hub.

I’m getting really tempted to just order an 8gb mini from Amazon.
It won’t be a machine that will get major usage as I still need Windows for a fair bit of stuff as I’m a cyber security student. It’s mainly a personal usage machine and a little bit of coding, so I’m not really sure I NEED 16gb ?

What type of coding? If you plan on using Xcode then i'd say go for 16gb or any other compiled language.

I’d be hooking it up to the 2 monitors I currently have my laptop running, so it would be nice not to have to transfer back to the laptop for a bit of python here and there.
I’m not really into coding and the most we do for uni is python really, nothing exciting or with heavy lifting required. I could always remote into my Windows VM if more power is needed I suppose.
My laptop is a 8750h i7 with 32gb, so has more than enough power to run anything too taxing for the mini.

Which version of Python?

Hi all,

I ordered my MacBook Air M1 (basic model) this Monday.

The order is still in progress and I haven’t been charged on my creditcard yet (just the standard authorization 0.00 ).

Delivery says 1 December.

Is it normal that it takes this long for processing the order?

Usually it takes less than 24 hours

I assume you mean this Monday as they weren't available last week.

I ordered mine 20 minutes after the event ended on Tuesday and my tracking stayed at Processing until Monday dinner time.

Yeah, just that. No actual tracking info.
Same here, so I think that means they're on their way from China to Eindhoven. My delivery date has come-in by a week and is showing next Thursday now, so I'm assuming they're due in Holland by the weekend?
