Just had my shipping notification, was 25th for delivery, now 20th which couldn't be any better timed for a weekend of testing. Fingers crossed it does actually happen.

It's still in China, Passed customs so if it is the same as my past deliveries it needs to get to Dubai then Germany and finally the UK. UPS are delivering as usual, to be fair always been on time.

It's ok, they found the stolen lorry after tracking it to a business park - 37 Intel employees are in police custody pending charges.

it could be true...

Apple products worth £5m stolen from lorry on M1

The article mentions the items stolen were iPhone 11s, AirPods and Apple Watches, but wouldn't that be funny if the first M1 Macs were stolen on the M1...

Had a MPB due for delivery today between 1130-1230 with DPD. I had to pop out but still had someone home. I returned back to a missed delivery slip in the door, saying they’ll be back tomorrow.

Apparently they didn’t even ring the doorbell. So thanks for the that DPD ?

My base mini is here, powered-on ok, booted to desktop ok, basic diagnostics ok and now trying the migration assistant. I may go back to a clean install at some point but just want to get up and running with the stuff I use first.

Of course, it may highlight any issues migrating from Intel but I am banking on Apple having sorted that process out.

Ordered 16GB 512GB Air yesterday. Should arrive mid-Dec.

I got a £300 trade-in offer for my 2019 Air (8/256GB). Does anyone know if this is a good deal or would you sell it elsewhere?

I’ve been offered £600 for my 2020 Air by Music Magpie. Resale values on eBay are higher, however, you need to factor in fees.

That's a terrible price. None of the regualr online sales places is selling a 2019 Macbook Air for under £500 (incl P&P). That trade in price is rip off in my opinion.

Oh. It is actually Late 2018 model so it is perhaps slightly less terrible?

I am going bite DPD if they don’t deliver it on time!
I can just imagine you doing what little children do when they know a present is being delivered by the postman, they peek out of the curtains through the window with baited breath, then when they see the postman, they gleefully shout 'it's here..it's here' lol :)

Sounds like a terrible price, but if you want the zero hassle approach you might just about consider it I guess.
