Hi

My MBP was due for delivery today via UPS. Checked at 8.30am UK time and all was good for a window this afternoon. Just checked again and it says delayed due to operational issues. It is at the depot about 6 miles from my home!! Called UPS and all they could tell me was it has been delayed due to operational issues i.e. He just read from the website. First world problems I know but I was looking forward to setting it up today. GRRRRR

Josh

Can you not pop along and collect it?

my pending charge on cc has disappeared.... still sais 19th which is Saturday, wonder if they will charge again on Friday when despatched or maybe I got a delay expected :-(

Hi. Looked into that but actually finding someone to talk to about it appears impossible. Advice appreciated. When you try online the website takes you in a constant circle until you get to a choice of change delivery date.

status just been updated that it is delayed again! Until end of day tomorrow. Have tweeted them for an explanation. Grrrr. Once again. But with the continued understanding there are worse things going on in the world.
Josh

That’s ok. It’s not the delivery company’s job to be dealing with those ‘worse things’ so seems reasonable to be annoyed at them.

If anyone was interested in the rough timescales with DHL, this is what mine looked like.

Ordered 02/12, MBP 16/512

Cheers. Disappointing that something which arrived in the uk on Saturday evening couldn’t find its way to your door until Tuesday.

New update. Twitter is the best way to get attention from UPS. They said I could go and pick it up from the depot but that could take 2 days to organise. 😦😡. So have left it for delivery which they now say is tomorrow.

so mine arrived into East midlands at 05:56 today, just got this message, which I guess means I ain't getting it tomorrow as planned!

The piece has arrived later than normally scheduled and cannot make its expected planned movement / delivery cycle

So confused by that. It’s possible for an item to be picked up by a uk courier at 5pm and delivered the following day but somehow an item delivered to the couriers main sorting hub at 5:30am can’t be?

I guess all couriers are busy due to Covid, Christmas ... and Brexit with lots of im-/export prior to 31st December?

Not sure I’m gonna get my MacBook tomorrow now. It left cologne at 5am this morning and hasn’t arrived anywhere as of yet!

I think it depends on what you buy. I’ve ordered a 16mb 512gb Pro 13 and others with similar specs have had them shipped from China.

Here’s my tracking so far. My laptop has been in more countries than I have this year!

Lol, I've been looking at a few :)
Some of them have been on world tours!
I thought they went China - Eindhoven and were farmed out from there. But apparently that's not the case.
I too have ordered a 16/512 but mine's a MBA but mine's not started its journey yet.

My CTO MacBook Air with 16GB ram arrived today; up at this time setting it up, went with apple care plus this time as I have had issues before when going from my G4 to intel back in the day.

After days of inactivity in Shanghai, mine this morning has been to Korea and departed again. Looks like it’s on the UPS 11 flight to Köln-Bonn. Delivery now scheduled for Monday in London.
