Mines arrived in leeds so hopefully delivering today!

Good to hear. My ups tracking is somewhat optimistically still suggesting a delivery by the end of today but given that I live near Edinburgh and the package is currently still in Stansted, I don’t expect this to happen. Will be happy with a delivery tomorrow though and might be good to get it going into the weekend. Won’t be happy if I need to wait until Monday though!!

It arrived :)

Ordered 8/8 MBA 16/512 15:41 on Dec 3rd. I got shipping notification on Friday 11th, DHL didn't recognise the number until Tuesday when it landed in Europe!

Hi. Looked into that but actually finding someone to talk to about it appears impossible. Advice appreciated. When you try online the website takes you in a constant circle until you get to a choice of change delivery date.

status just been updated that it is delayed again! Until end of day tomorrow. Have tweeted them for an explanation. Grrrr. Once again. But with the continued understanding there are worse things going on in the world.

Can anyone help. UPS are not helping at all, the Twitter team are providing answers that are turning out to be just not true. They told me delivery would be Wed, then it was today and then it was they would call me by a certain time today but missed the deadline twice, and just now they have said I might get the call before the 21st!!

Does anyone have a direct phone number to the Reading UPS branch?

thanks

Josh

Mine is still lost in the system at the Reading depot. Now day 4. Have informed Apple who have raised an “Investigation” with UPS. UPS Reading just not responding to their customer service team at all So the people you speak to on the phone can only tell you that they have sent it a question. Very poor service. I would happily accept a response of the pandemic + Christmas means we have a backlog, but giving no response to a customer is poor.

There a few Apple Stores stocking the MBA 16gb 1TB at the moment. I collected mine today from Birmingham and there are 5 stores with stock, probably only 1 per store though

I ordered a magic mouse 2 and a USB adapter when I ordered my M1 MBA.
They are supposed to be delivered tomorrow (not the MBA, that's weeks away) and I got shipping info from Apple just now. It says it's coming January 16th

Fortunately the DPD shipping info says it's for delivery tomorrow, as planned.

I hope they don't make the same mistake with my MBA ?
That's still processing but says it will ship in 3 to 4 weeks :( but I only ordered it Wednesday.
Or maybe they made a mistake and that's the date for my MBA. Who knows.

Throughout my laptop process, the Apple store always gave the worst case scenario for my delivery. When I ordered the webpage gave a delivery slot of 18th - 30th December. From the moment I bought it, to the day of delivery (yesterday) the orders page on the Apple store gave the 30th as my delivery date. The courier info was far more accurate

My update so far for a 16/512 Mac Mini.

27th Nov 2020: Ordered using education discount on Apple UK site
11th Dec 2020: Pre-authorization appears on credit card
13th Dec 2020: Status still shows as processing
14th December 2020: Processing & shipped. UPS showing 'Shipment Cleared Customs'

16th December 2020: Shipped from China to Hong Kong, then to Köln in Germany. Where, I am guessing the goods were added onto a lorry to the UK, as the next update was "delayed due to Eurotunnel congestion".
17th December 2020: original delivery date specified by UPS
18th December 2020: Package arrives locally, but UPS status changes to "Delayed due to operating conditions".
21st December 2020: Delivery date specified by Apple on the shipment email.

Hopefully it arrives before Christmas!

Nobody else today?
Come on peeps, I need to hear good things :D
Not a good thing potentially but I think you also have a TS3+. We have ours hooked up to two monitors via DisplayPort. Works perfectly for my wife with her Thinkpad. I obviously knew for the M1 MBA I would only get a single monitor working. But annoyingly it doesn’t consistently pick one of the monitors for the external display, and sometimes doesn’t wake either display. If I unplug one of the monitor cables from the dock then it works well so I can live with it. But just in case you have similar setup.

Everything else works great with the dock (external drive, Logitech receiver, etc.

I wish you luck. Exactly the same situation but still waiting after 7 days. No response from UPS depot. Terrible service.

These are not normal times. Nobody is getting the normal updates.
There's Covid and people are off work which affects production, customs clearance and flight crew.
Apple has released a major updated type of computer and recently new phones.
Add to that Christmas and the recipe is complete :)
I know it's disappointing for some that wanted their stuff for Christmas but I suspect Apple is doing everything they can.
Mine is still in processing and it's unlikely to change before Christmas, I suspect.
It's just life at the moment, I'm afraid.
