For those of you who use the magic keyboard with your iPad, do you use a case as well when you want to use the iPad without the keyboard, such as flat on a desk? If no, don't you worry about the lack of protection using the iPad without a case....

I bought the Smart Folio as well.

been rocking the Smart Folio more lately over the MK due to just easier to watch content without taking up too much space. dunno if I regret getting the magic keyboard or not. as I tend to use my MacBook Pro for long typing.

The Smart Folio does not cover the sides of the iPad. I am surprised the case is very popular tbh especially since it's not cheap.

Because it’s light weight and for me has great viewing angles. It’s more a convenience case than a projection one

so you use both the MKB and Folio. I guess you use the Folio when you are not using the MKB...

Pretty much but I’ve been using mainly with folio lately and using my Mac for typing. It’s a lot more comfortable to use on the lap

EDIT- I’m back to use the iPad Pro with MK ha

I’m much preferring the keyboard over folio for most scenarios now, apart from when I just need to pop the iPad in a ‘case’. Like now, I’ve just taken it outside for a 5 minute sit in the sun.

What I prefer about the keyboard though is how easy it keeps the iPad standing upright in bed! Or on my lap.

Watching a show or movie is much easier in bed now. No falling face flat anymore!

The other week I had it on one leg balanced fine as I sat in the passenger seat on a long journey.

I’ve taken another set of photos out and about with the month old M4 11” iPP. I got a 2017 10.5” Apple genuine leather sleeve new from eBay for £10.99 and I really like it. I’m in the pub, got my drink, and watching the Euros. I won’t post any more photos unless requested as I’m not sure this is the relevant forum anymore.

I still have my Apple leather sleeve from when it first came out. Will have to dig it out as I really liked it.
