Does anyone know how to get Friday delivery on amazon?

I have two options for delivery, free prime delivery (next business day) which delivers 21st and free standard delivery which delivers 23rd?

On a side note rang EE and iPhone order has been picked.

So as we get closer to Friday I’m left with two thoughts currently.

2) an claim on AppleCare (~£20) is cheaper than the screen protector (£30)

This is assuming you're going the iUP route, but...

I suppose the downside of that approach is that you won't be able to claim the "unused" portion of the AppleCare+ if you want to sell your phone privately and pay off Barclays next year rather than going through Apple to renew the iUP. Only an issue if you actually smash the screen though, and if you were planning on upgrading next year.

When I ordered mine from Amazon I chose 21st. Then, following a tip in here I updated my payment method (just reconfirmed the same card basically) a couple of days later. Voila, the delivery changed to Friday.

Pics? I opted for the ESR clear thin one for now along with my £4 eBay one

The pink isn’t as vibrant when it’s outside of the packaging but I love the way it catches in the light.

Ah thanks! So you’re saying if you make a claim on AppleCare you couldn’t then later cancel...
Makes sense I guess

Someone made a valid point a few posts ago..

To restore (iCloud or iTunes backup) or clean start.
I’m all for a clean install to prune the apps, but also I’ve got my phone setup exactly how i like, and I have a lot of apps and stuff like app logins, app data, and HealthKit data is useful to keep.
Think I’ll take my personal laptop to work on Friday so can restore backup while watching F1 practice.

Thank you, will try this tomorrow once everything is showing on my account

Order yesterday

Release date delivery required you to order it earlier. Amazon did not state what the cutoff date was, probably because they didn't know how demand would pan out
Don’t think that’s correct, yesterday was 21st, today was 21st. Are you just assuming this or is it written somewhere?

So... I may have splurged and bought a 64GB iPhone 11 Pro Max in gold from Amazon on their 5 month instalment option :D Got bored of space grey/black that I’ve had on all my previous iPhones and thought I’d treat myself since I’ve just got a job :)

Comes on Sat 21st September and I’ll likely trade in my 64GB XS Max to Carphone Warehouse for £595 on Monday if everything is good with the new phone.

I'm assuming it. I ordered yesterday, initially showed release day delivery but when ordered showed 23rd Sept. Cancelled and reordered and it changed to release date.
There was no specific cutoff date advertised. However, the page is now different and is not showing any 'release day delivery' information. When I loaded the page yesterday, there were links explaining that prime members were eligible for release day delivery provided they ordered by an (unspecified) date

We will see. Not overly fussed but normally deliver quite late here on a Saturday so kinda wastes my day

Amazon’s website changed around lunchtime today (when the reviews were published) prior to which they were guaranteeing delivery for 20 September and the website now states 20 is release date with no mention of delivery.

I checked with Amazon online chat before placing my order around 3 pm and my delivery is confirmed for 20 September.

I think this may be only for Prime members.

I’ve just ordered a pro max and was offered 21st to my home address but 23rd to a locker or work. I want it to be delivered on Saturday so works for me.

1) clean install or restore from backup?

2) get apple to install the screen protector or forego?

Change my mind

1) clean install as always.. helps prune unused apps etc.

2) an claim on AppleCare (~£20) is cheaper than the screen protector (£30)

Isn’t AC+ excess £79?

Plus time, fuel, parking etc.

amazon now guaranteeing delivery by Saturday 21st for the iPhone pro’s.

I still believe delivery is possible on Friday. It’s likely a delivery slot potential constraint which pushed the date to Saturday (rather than a stock shortage)

Actually showing 20th for me (prime). Edit: Unless it changes at checkout? Didn't go that far
