Very painless return of my Pro Max & Apple Case and exchanged for a normal size pro and another case:)

Would of been nice if they could have just swapped the phones and refunded the difference onto my card, instead of me actually having to buy a new phone and wait for a full refund of the other phone....but with a returns policy like theirs you can’t really complain.

I called on Thursday or Friday can’t remember and I managed to get £110.95 back actually got this back in my account today so it’s excellent. Can’t quite fork out the £199 for the new phone yet but you get significantly longer now

Says in my new phone I have 61 days to decide but thinking of not bothering this year.

At last...... My Apple pre-order for 23-25 Sep has finally moved from processing to preparing to ship.

Earlier, my Credit card initially refused payment but luckily they did text me to confirm did I request the item?
Once I had done this I then had to contact Apple on the phone and get them to reapply for payment.... This time it went through.

Yes you get 14 days to change it. Again this morning there’s lots of stock

Thanks I reserved one at 6:01am and was able to swap my space grey 11 pro for midnight green! The colour definitely looks so much better in person than in photos (in case anyone is considering it).

I wanted to get it on IUP but they need passport/driving license - I still don't understand why they don't accept residence permits - I can't enter the country without one so a passport OR residence permit should be acceptable (and a residence permit is a valid UK biometric ID). Same problem with EE when you want to get a replacement eSIM. A bit annoyed, but I'll go this weekend with my passport to get it transferred.

In case it helps anyone, I traded in my iPhone XS at CPW at 10am on Saturday. At 10am Monday I received the money in my bank account.

Traded my wife's X 64GB at CPW yesterday, money received today.
Though I was instructed to email with a screenshot to get the price match +£10, will then get sent a cheque for the extra which will be £30.

Yet to receive a reply.

I can’t get the activity app to work. Any ideas? It’s stuck on this;

BT Mobile are a bit of a shambles at the minute, they cannot even provide an estimate on delivery, ordered iPhone 11 Pro 256gb Midnight Green. Is stock really bad or is it just bad logistics?

My new toy, eh, i mean essential piece of technology :p finally arrived a couple of hours ago. Not really had time to play with it, but the one thing I love more than anything right now - being back to a big screen, oh how I have missed it :D

it’s the same with all carriers every single year... if you want guaranteed estimates or dates buy straight from Apple.
Learnt that the hard way this year with my Apple Watch SS order...ordered from very on launch day and was told 20/09 delivery up until the night before...so ordered from apple....

Virgin Mobile are pretty good too. I got my dads phone with them last year. I noticed this year there’s a deal much like the one you mentioned from EE, except you don’t need to be a student.

iPhone 11 Pro 64GB, 50GB data and unlimited everything else for £50 a month, with free AirPods.
Or the Pro Max for an extra £5.

All with no upfront fees.

I know the coverage is good, they use the EE network, which is why I moved the wife to them too. I’d move over myself but I’ve a really good unlimited EE data (and everything else of course) plan that I doubt I’ll ever change from.
There coverage may be good, but there speeds are atrocious. EE throttle the life out of them.
I got a free virgin sim with my BB package and get max speeds of between 5 and 10mbps. My work mate on EE gets 60mbps sitting beside me.
I raised it with Virgin and they confirmed to me they are throttled.
Add to that you don’t get WiFi calling or use of the faster wireless spectrum your better off avoiding Virgin!

Guaranteed estimates? Is that a thing, lol

lol 😂 I mean you are guaranteed an estimate if not an exact date and its extremely rare that your estimate will get pushed back to a later date. Usually Apple’s estimates are an “overestimate“ & they usually deliver before that. My iPhone X had an estimate of 2nd week of Nov 2017 to 4th week and I got it in the 2nd week itself.

I had a bad experience with Very... opened a new account last October to order Apple Watch series 4 but then they suddenly cancelled my order and my account and wouldn’t give me a reason. Just ordered from Apple because I saw they got new stock and picked it up the same day.

seems like a lot of carriers are throttling speeds now.. EE is doing it as well by offering max 60mbps on some plans and no caps on other plans (such as an unlimited plan or plans with swappable benefits). Vodafone is also throttling speeds on unlimited plans to 2mbps and 10 mbps on their unlimited lite and unlimited plan respectively, but no cap on unlimited max plan. That should actually be illegal as it’s not 4G if you cap it to 2mbps or 10mbps!
