I'm sure its been posted but I've done a quick search and can't find - does anyone know the process for getting the AppleCare refund on my old iPhone XS that was on the IUP? Received my payment from MusicMagpie today (went very smoothly, gave me the full amount I expected), so ready to pay off the Barclays loan and get my refund through
No issues for me.Any iPhone 11 users having issues whilst making calls on Vodafone? I’m constantly having the other person saying they can’t here me on that the line is really distorted despite the phone showing at least 3 bars of 4G signal. I switched on WhatsApp audio earlier when my sister could barely here me and that was instantly better (I was still on 4G not WiFi for the WhatsApp call).
i never had these issues on the 8 plus, all the problems have been since I got the iphone 11 last Friday. I also ordered through very with 10% off for new customers & from what I gather there returns process is going to be far from straight forward.
Really frustrating as I like the phone otherwise & have sold my 8 plus already so don’t even know what I would do if I return it.
What’s the best number to use?Call apple and tell them you want to cancel AppleCare. They’ll put you through to the right dept and go through it with you.. does remind me I need to see where my refund is as because apple refund Barclays who would reduce your balance of if you’ve close the plan like me, then refund you the money

To cancel AppleCare+ if you are on or where on IUP, you need to ring AppleCare team on 0800 107 6285
Once they verify your details, they will refund any remaining ApplceCare+ back to Barclays. If you have any outstanding balance, this credit will go towards that, however, if (like me) you have already paid off your IUP loan, Barclays will then refund you directly to your bank account.
My iPhone X was on IUP with the AppleCare due to run out in November (hence the small refund amount)!
Email I received from Apple:
We’re happy to tell you that we completed your refund.
Amount: 12.28 GBP
Case number: xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Serial number: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Credit memo number: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Your refund will be credited to your Barclays loan and will reduce the term of your loan. If you have paid off your Barclays loan, then your refund will be credited to your bank account within ten business days. For more information about your Barclays loan account, please call the Barclays Helpdesk at 0800 15 22 888. Help is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
I was in that queue I can see myself in your photo lol
Phone arrived on Tuesday. Definitely made the right choice going with Midnight Green and the Forest Green Leather case to match.
Battery life has been amazing, comes off charge at 7am every morning and still have about 30/40% left around 11pm, and that's with fairly heavy use throughout the day.
The camera has been amazing also, photographing dogs is a joy, and the quality of the pictures is amazing, can get right in on every single strand of hair. (picture attached)
I’d try a phone call but also I’d try to stay calm and just ask for an update. You could mention again the fact that it was with them in the allotted time frame and can they relook at your case? I think I’d give it a go and don’t lose your cool! (I’m aware this is sometimes easier said than done but it maybe the best option at a decent outcome)Music Magpie are ignoring all my communications. Despite then advising my watch would be back to me within 48 hours it hasn’t even been dispatched yet. Does anyone who I can go to regarding this? I am really concerned they are not going to send it. Then what?
Was that when you were weeping at the cost of upgrading? 😀No AC+ refund for me, as I’d already made a claim (phone replaced due to tear damage).
That’s the problem, you can’t phone them anymore. Apparently their customers prefer other methods such as twitter etc. I am dealing with their complaints team but they’ve stopped replying. They’ve had my watch (regardless of what they say) 6 days now and still haven’t returned it. They are ignoring emails, twitter and Facebook state that because I am dealing with complaints they can’t help.I’d try a phone call but also I’d try to stay calm and just ask for an update. Hope you can get somewhere with them
Found the following online, apologies if you already have / have tried all these:That’s the problem, you can’t phone them anymore. I really am lost here.
The IUP is designed for you to go directly to Apple and swap your old phone for a new one. So, that’s the best way to proceed.A quick Q about iUP for my wife if I may...
She has a launch day 10S max on iUP and wants to go for an 11.
What’s the best way to proceed, without any “phone downtime”?
I’m thinking:
Ta.
- Pay off outstanding iUP balance.
- Take out new iUP.
- Take phone into CPW and get cash.
- Cancel Applecare + & get refund.
There are defo better ways (financially) to do this, but thanks. The

Though might not be the best financially.
