Anyone who sent a phone to Music Magpie....did it take longer than 2 working days to arrive to them ? Dropped a 7plus off at the Post Office at 8am Wednesday. Only tracking update to date was Wednesday PM - arrived at the mail centre.
I had assumed Tracked 48 meant 2 days ! It does say 2-3 days but kind of expected to hear something by now.
They are probably holding on to it so they can process it outside of the 14 days/initial offer so they can offer you a new “revised market price” like they did with my XS Max. Will never use them again.

The first pack didn’t arrive and was told via email that they’d honour the original price of £700 and issue a new postage pack. However, once received and processed they revised it to £640 because it was outside of the 14 day window.

I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt at the moment as there’s no suggestion that it’s been delivered by Royal Mail to date.

Found the following online, apologies if you already have / have tried all these:

Have a search of my posts in this thread regarding this

Wide angle lens is really impressive.

Any iPhone 11 users having issues whilst making calls on Vodafone? I’m constantly having the other person saying they can’t here me on that the line is really distorted despite the phone showing at least 3 bars of 4G signal. I switched on WhatsApp audio earlier when my sister could barely here me and that was instantly better (I was still on 4G not WiFi for the WhatsApp call).

i never had these issues on the 8 plus, all the problems have been since I got the iphone 11 last Friday. I also ordered through very with 10% off for new customers & from what I gather there returns process is going to be far from straight forward.

Really frustrating as I like the phone otherwise & have sold my 8 plus already so don’t even know what I would do if I return it.

had some issues last weekend - day after getting my phone. I was in a new location though so put it down to poor reception.

I don't make many calls so wary about how I can properly test this in case it needs repairing.

A quick Q about iUP for my wife if I may...

She has a launch day 10S max on iUP and wants to go for an 11.

What’s the best way to proceed, without any “phone downtime”?

I’m thinking:
  • Pay off outstanding iUP balance.
  • Take out new iUP.
  • Take phone into CPW and get cash.
  • Cancel Applecare + & get refund.
Ta.
@Jinjin Didn’t you sell before upgrading?

sounds perfect

slight risk of lower price for selling but should still be a good bit more than simply trading in with apple

Posted mine Wednesday 5pm. Tracking showed delivered the Friday around 3pm. Had an email from MM Saturday 11am saying it’s been received and will be examined. Got paid in full Monday lunchtime

Mystery solved (sort of). Apparently Royal Mail have sent it to Scotland “in error” so it’s been “re-routed”. I don’t know where the Music Magpie’s depot is but I can only assume it’s not in Scotland.

The address on the labels is Warrington (in Cheshire).

This happened to mine when I sent it to MM. As a result it took a full 7 days to get there. Once rerouted it did get delivered to MM the next day, but still only just made it inside the 14 days. Nice one Royal Mail 🙄

I’ll be sending it much earlier to be safe next time round.

I miss being able to prioritise which apps to share to, you used to be able drag them to the left.
Not sure if I’m on about the same thing, but you can prioritise what apps come up first when you want to share still, I have WhatsApp at the front, followed by Messages and then mail then just random stuff

How?
id like WhatsApp, followed by messages to, but can’t find a way to drag it across...

So when you press share and the menu pops up
the 2nd row where you have airdrop, messages etc etc - pull Or slide that row over right to left
you’ll then see the 3 dots and more
click that
tap edit
then click the plus sign under suggestions
apps then move to favourites
and use the 3 lines on the right of favourites to slide different apps up and down
then press done and should work

If no joy let me know

You beauty!

All sorted, thank you. 🙏

Apologies if this has already been addressed, but does anyone know if UK apple stores are fitting the belkin screen protector to the new 11 pro? I believe the dimensions are slightly different to the X/XS.

Yes they are. I got one fitted on Wednesday.

Update regarding the iPhone 11 I ordered for my wife.

It arrived last Wednesday (3 days late), she likes the Purple colour so that's her sorted!

I popped into the Apple Store in Aberdeen on Friday to have the screen replaced on my X.
It was done FREE of charge under their recall program for faulty display modules on the iPhone X.
Mine was bought on day of release and still had the original screen. They are replacing them up to 3 years from purchase date I think!?
It's nice to have a new screen again! There were a few scratches on it that were beginning to bother me!

I asked what they would give me for my wife's old iPhone 7. £80.
CPW offered £115.
CPW suggested taking it to a local shop called CEX (webuy.com). They gave me £147!
The phone was in fairly good condition with the box and all accessories.
Can't be bothered with the hassle of Music Magpie or the likes anymore. They've NEVER given me what they quoted before, and always had to have the device sent back.

Hope everyone hasn't had too much hassle with those recycling sites, and enjoying their new phones.
