How has the history been with non-Apple retailers that stock SIM free iPhones? Do they start selling on the same day? Do they allow pre order? I could probably get it a tad cheaper outside as Apple isn't offering corporate discount on the 11s.

I've just picked up an Xr as i've sold my XS... will see how I feel about the screen once i open it up!

Apple retails stores have dropped £50 ($100 in the states) off the price of the XS/Max.

I'm thinking of doing the same, but with a discounted XS to see how it handles as a daily driver. No risk, so long as I keep it in a cheapo case so that I can return it.

I am looking forward to watching that See TV series on AppleTV +, albeit we are paying for it via the bumped up Pro price. Yeah we “See” you :apple:

If you pre-order an iPhone for launch day, will that include the 1 year free AppleTV+ even though it hasn't launched yet?

no I couldn't tell.. I've recently bought a DJI OSMO Mobile 2 and that's great for the stuff I film around the house etc.. reasonably priced too
Thanks dude. I’ve just ordered the DJI OSMO Mobile 3, always wanted to own a gimbal. And yes, didn’t expect them to be so reasonably priced!

Yes, apparently you have 3 months to activate the TV+ one year free (when you buy an iPhone, Mac, Apple TV or iPad). The three months starts from when Apple TV+ launches on November 1st.

how many more payments is your account showing?

you could upgrade 'early' by making that additional payment to Barclays.

Since the Keynote, the IUP page in the Apple Store App is no longer showing how many more payments are due on IUP - its changed to saying something like 'You're eligible for an upgrade and can pre-order from the 13th' Its unlikely to show your payments now....

APPLE PEOPLE. I need your help.

I'm on an 8 256GB (which is probably too much storage), and I really want some dual camera and larger screen goodness. This is probably going to be my only window to get a new phone for a couple of years as my mrs is expecting our first child. Am I a crazy person thinking the 11 128GB will sort me out? I nearly bought an XR a few months back but held on for the dual cameras and speedier chip. I just can't stretch to a Pro, it's madness how pricey the 256GB is and 64GB just does not work for me.

My main question is what do you guys do to get new phones out of UK carriers? EE's prices look a bit crazy but they've been a great network for me. Will I get anywhere with retentions? I think I might have to go to Sky to get a decent deal under 50 quid a month.

I have noticed how the trade in prices have fallen. I am not upgrading this year, just went on Apples site to see how much I could get for my XS max. I bought it last March and part chopped my X for it. I got £500 for the X. On a 11 pro they just offered me £390 for my XS max.

It offered me £290 for my less than two year old iPhone X.

Don't forget it's often cheaper to upgrade via CPW (and others) than going direct even if you can't get anywhere with retentions. There's an XR plan on there at the moment under 50 for example

Had my X since launch and it's been brilliant. I have done upgrades on an 18 month - 2 yearly basis since the 4 and this is the first year I'm considering going into a third year. I'll see what O2 offer me but I'm leaning on staying with my X.

yes, the store will go down at some point early friday, and then it comes back up at 1pm you will see the buy option where the current 'view prices' button is.

once you choose your model, you'll see the usual expected date for delivery or you can then select store pick up.

I’m not buying outright - will I just be able to reserve without paying? I’m going on the iPhone Payments plan which I need to set up in store
