Same was said about the notch. It’s a pity that we have to. Apple are capable of much better.

Absolutely. I don’t love that either but I tolerate it because I have no choice other than to defect to the dark side, and I’m too invested in the Apple ecosystem to do that, for now.Same was said about the notch.
I’m a bit late to the party sorry. Generally I’ve seen the non Apple people (John Lewis) sell from day one if they can get stock but John Lewis have been quite good in this I think? Last year a few people got them from VERY the catalogue people but I think a few were let down by them. I don’t think the phone providers do sim free to start with but CPW claim to sometimes and then hurriedly say they’re ‘out of stock’, I avoid them at all costs! How has the history been with non-Apple retailers that stock SIM free iPhones? Do they start selling on the same day? Do they allow pre order? I could probably get it a tad cheaper outside as Apple isn't offering corporate discount on the 11s.

Better battery life which is a big thing for meAm I correct in thinking that the only difference between the 11 and the Pro is the display and the extra camera lens? (Telephoto). It will interesting to see if there is a difference in picture quality between the 11 and Pro.
Me too. That is a beautiful phone but......i was tempted by note 10 but software was the deciding factor here...
Nope. Completely independent. I’ve always done this and still bought directly from Apple. Thanks, but is this conditional on you getting your new phone from them?
To my surprise CPW are still offering me £460 for my 256 X 24 hours after the keynote, wish I’d waited an extra day now to lock in my price to give me an extra day to get it to them!Probably a day before the announcment. Prices drop quickly as soon as they announce the new phones.
Thanks, that’s definitely worth knowing.Nope. Completely independent. I’ve always done this and still bought directly from Apple.
I’m pretty sure that the last time I ordered for collection at an Apple Store I was charged BEFORE I collected.
Can anyone confirm this procedure?
No thankfully. I’ve literally gone in and just given them the phone in previous years. Thanks, that’s definitely worth knowing.
I assume that they want the original box and accessories as well as the iPhone?
did it last week and there was a voucher code which seemed active for a few hours before it stopped working.. lucked outHo
how you get that? I’m offered £642 for my Xs max 256gb!!
carphone warehouse are £660! Is there anyway of locking in that price?
I'm going to be at work on Friday afternoon with no internet access. No idea how I'm going to be able to order on Friday
I read (on these forums somewhere) that you can simply "upgrade" back down to 13.0 once it's released using iTunes (or Finder if you're on Catalina). So nothing special needed nor any restore/recovery.So who’s running 13.1 beta?
I see we will have to do a downgrade to be able to restore form backup as 13.1 is t going to be released for a while yet!!
I really hope you’re right! I’ll be ordering a midnight green for me and a gold for the missus. Both of us are downsizing from the max. I just hope supplies are okay. Thankfully I’m working from home on Friday so there’s no chance of anyone pestering me around 1pm!Not sure which model you’re after but with prices up again and relatively limited enhancements over the XS models, my gut feeling is that there will be a plentiful supply of the Pro phones with the possible exception of the Midnight Green model.

Not sure about preorders but every single order I’ve picked collection I have paid in advance.

The guys at Apple won’t miss a crack, however minuscule.I’m really uncertain about selling my phone, I feel like the best way to do it is through Apple just to get those lower monthly payments... there’s no way I can afford it outright.
Only thing is that I have the tiniest crack on my iPhone X, but it’s on the bezel, as in not visible on the screen. And its weird because you can’t feel it, almost like it’s inside the phone? The descriptions and grading are so ambiguous.
Guess I just have to get them to look at it and see if I’m getting £300... or £80
Ok so it sounds as if you can reserve to pick up from the Apple store. Given it appears you don’t pay until collection(?), Is there anything to stop me cancelling that reservation or not turning up to collect if I source one from John Lewis on release day? - I’m only asking as I have £70 in John Lewis vouchers which I would prefer to use if I could. Guess you could say I’m hedging my bets in case John Lewis don’t get many in or they sell out
That’s a BIG upgrade. You won’t be disappointed.I'll be going for the 11 in black. I'm still using my 6 so it'll be a decent upgrade. I can't justify the extra for the pro
