So who’s running 13.1 beta?

I see we will have to do a downgrade to be able to restore form backup as 13.1 is t going to be released for a while yet!!

that sucks!! Luckily I did a proper iTunes backup as advised by Apple!

I’m torn with my trade in, could do without losing my phone yet but worried I’ll lose the extra money by waiting
We ran into this issue at the iPhone X launch. Apple pushed out the latest dev beta for that device on launch day avoiding the need to downgrade etc. Hopefully that's the case this year as my iTunes backup is 13.1.

I’m a bit late to the party sorry. Generally I’ve seen the non Apple people (John Lewis) sell from day one if they can get stock but John Lewis have been quite good in this I think? Last year a few people got them from VERY the catalogue people but I think a few were let down by them. I don’t think the phone providers do sim free to start with but CPW claim to sometimes and then hurriedly say they’re ‘out of stock’, I avoid them at all costs!
avoid Argos, they were a complete joke last (or could have been for the X) charging cards promising delivery then backtracking saying they had none

I went and picked up an Xr today and will return it inside the 14 days. Use to be against doing this but Apple's pricing for the UK has changed my mind!

I wonder when Apple will allow us to do the IUP online.. it’s not as if the stores aren’t already packed.

I spent my whole lunch at the store because of their queues.
Has to be something contractual with Barclays, given the highly desirable item are going to be more susceptible to fraud I assume. Doing it in person must give Barclays some more confidence

If you can get a mortgage online a phone wouldn't be an issue

I was thinking the same, maybe Barclays prefer an in person contract agreement, less risk? I mean.. mortgage fraud isn’t that prevalent, not sure about loan fraud though.

Yep, I did this today. Mostly for work reason as I want to access work emails through their app that’s built by us.

Any idea how to do this? I’ll have access to my laptop again on Sunday so can do it then and perhaps look at getting the trade in sorted next week.

Hmm, it is tempting... although will need to outlay a lot of money!

Should I get an X or the iPhone 11 ?

I know, the X is old-ish now. But similar price and the X has a better screen. Not that fussed about camera improved.

I have a 7+ and wife has 6+ and we need new phones now

But I want 5G compatible so I need a cheap stopgap for 1-2 years, probably 2 years.

What’s the old X going to be like vs the new 11?

Download the IPSW from the developer Center. Plug iPhone into the laptop. In iTunes, click the upgrade button whilst holding the option button. It will then ask for the IPSW, use the downloaded one.

Does anyone know if I delete the beta profile will I just not get updates until the official OTA release? I’m on beta 13.1 pb 3.

After years of going space grey i’ll be getting the silver this year as I’m finally ready to embrace the brighter silver bands. Also want to go caseless more so being able to polish them back to health will be good. Wanted to like the green, but I’m just not a fan of green in general. Pleased others are keen on it though as hopefully that’ll take demand from the silver. :)

Not much love for 11 colours.

I'm with iJustine on this one...

I’m at a stage now where I must upgrade. My 6 whilst still going it definitely struggles with a lot of apps now. It is a really tough choice between the 11 and Pro. I was thinking of an Xs but I think the ultra wide is actually going to be a useful lens to have plus night mode on top. I’m leaning towards the 11 but I might be tempted by the Pro.

Are XS Max screen protectors compatible? I’m assuming they as front hasn’t changed. Just starting to order supplies ahead of time.

OK added the iPhone 11 colours to the poll! Couldn't remove the original 'iPhone 11' option (unless any mods reading this can?) so change yours if you wish!

I’m familiar with the iPhone upgrade program and the payments plan, both over 20 months in the UK.

Does anyone know much about the trade in option to pay over 24 months?

The extra 4 months helps to spread the cost and keep the payment lower so I was considering the 11 Pro instead of the 11.

What happens if your trade in is valued lower, do your monthly payments end up higher or do you have to pay more upfront?

Is there an option of paying more upfront voluntarily?

Is this only available when trading in?

more looks at the midnight green...

Swinging back towards the Silver (let’s be honest it’s white) Pro Max after watching this again, it’s those silver edges that do it for me and I’ll have it in a case either way so wouldn’t see the back...

Difference between the 11 and the X though is that whilst in a case the camera shows the colour of the phone, so what colour case to get?! Ah first world problems...

Selling my X with music magpie (£425 not bad, but should have bitten last week when it was £440). Although I don’t need to send in my charger etc I probably will - no good to me.
I could go and buy an XR for a week, or just hold off sending it in because MM hold their offer price for 14 days.. not sure

will be getting an 11 as the extra on the pro isn’t worth it to me. May do IUP for a year and upgrade to the 2020 model.

Just not sure on the colour as I love the XR bright yellow but the 11 is much softer. Maybe red or black..
