Using a very similar amount on my 64GB. Will stick to the same size again. What with iCloud storage and Apple Music, I've never struggled with capacityhow's everyone doing for capacity this year? went with the 256GB last year thinking 64 wouldn't be enough... looking at my phone now I'm using 54gb, out of that 5.5gb on apps I've hardly used this year and about 6gb on WhatsApp chat!
could conieivingly go back to 64gb![]()
agree with you there, its a 2 handed phone for me which makes it awkward for me to use. hmm now if only they did an oled in the XR sizeCapacity-wise, I've used just 114GB of 256GB, which surprises me as I have thousands of full quality photos and videos of my baby son who came a few weeks after the Xs Max launch. I must have been edging close to under or just over 64GB before he came along and reasoned the 256GB as the sensible option.
If I were to turn back the clock, I'd still stick with 256GB as I've never gone for the lowest capacity of iPhone since its launch, but I would reconsider downsizing to the Xs from the Max. I do a lot of commuting and travelling for work, so the Max's screen is great for catching up on TV shows and movies, but the overall size is more cumbersome to use, especially as a camera around my fidgety and unpredictable boy. I went boating with a friend the other day and they had their Xs, just pointing and shooting one handed, whereas I had to be more careful holding my Max with both hands unless in portrait orientation.
The doors on the hype train close earlier than the stated time to ensure a timely departure. All aboard! Woo woo!Bit early for this thread innit?
Well, after reading the Bloomberg leaks yesterday I’ve decided not to switch to the XR successor. Not sure why but I assumed it would also be getting the ultra wide camera.
Still keen to downsize from the Max so I’ll be picking up the 5.8 inch iPhone 11 Pro instead.
Would miss the screen for sure but just wish it was a little lighter. Looking ahead to 2020 (I know, far too early) the 'pro' line looks to be going towards 5.4 inches and 6.7. Personally, 5.4 would be too small, so downsizing now only to go big next year seems a little silly. Looks like I'll be making full use of the 14 day return window before settling. Decisions, decisions, argh!!I have sold my iPhone XS Max and now have an XS temporarily.
I can't get used to it and that's why I go for the Max Pro
If Apple don’t get their act together and offer 128GB.how's everyone doing for capacity this year? went with the 256GB last year thinking 64 wouldn't be enough... looking at my phone now I'm using 54gb, out of that 5.5gb on apps I've hardly used this year and about 6gb on WhatsApp chat!

Ooh! New shiny will briefly distract me from the current UK s***showInvites should be out later today!
Totally get the stance regarding ebay. Also got my XS Max locked in with Music Magpie for a further 12 days. Price dropped a little this morning and expect it to slide further now the invites are out. Holding out for the 10% promo code returning, but chances look slim. Will have to make a call this time next week along with the competitors as we're not yet in the 14 day window to launch date.Hi guys, now that the invites are out, when and what is the best time to sell my iPhone X?
Music magpie are offering me £440 for it, and I have "saved" it to my bucket list for the next 14 days.
I can't be arsed with eBay and the like, since I don't want to take risks. I know that is the lazy way out, but would rather just have it hassle free.

Also worth locking in with envirofone as you can extend to 21 days. I know the offer is lower currently but may be a better solution if timing is an issue
Yeah it's tricky. I reckon locking Envirofone in on Tuesday 3rd, and Music Magpie (and others) by 10th (event day, early morning before opening of business) will grant a sufficient window for posting off on launch day of 20th for it to arrive with them in time. Not really sure how much it'll slide before then so I've set up email notifications informing me of price changes using followthatpage.com against sellmymobile.comThanks, I didn't know that about envirophone offering a 21 days lock-in. Interesting that they dropped this morning! To be honest, I should have locked it in earlier, and I don't think this 14 day window is any helpful, because I know for a fact I am going to buy it for the camera improvements alone.
With that in mind, 21 days doesn't help much really either. Now the question is... when are you going to sell it? And do you know if waiting for the 11 to arrive/deliver will lead to a much more reduced price? I'd wager of course it will, but don't know just quite by how much to work out whether or not the inconvenience is worth it or not...
