No you reserve for store pick up and not purchase.

You then do the iup paperwork in store when you go to your ‘appointment’

I want to finance my 11 Pro with Barclays and reserve for pick up at store via the Apple Store App, is this possible?

Anyone still undecided on colour try out the O2 website you can view all the colours in Apple’s 360 mode not just the midnight green.

I’m getting the 11 Pro Max Silver

good shout - I've been spinning them all around and zooming right in, amazing.

I'm still going green, but the silver and even gold are attractive to me for the first time ever this year, and I've always gone grey / black every time.

Hmm that O2 viewer makes the yellow look pretty nice but still worried it’ll be too pale. And the black frame isn’t super dark. Think I’ll go red 11

Hopefully this is true but you feel apple
Would have mentioned it as something that’s coming later in the year etc

no chance.. they’d have teased it as coming later in the year. If they haven’t mentioned it it isn’t happening. Let’s be honest this launch they need all the new shiny stuff possible to justify the upgrade and that would have been a big plus!

it’s not apple anymore to just turn round and say hey guys, surprise :(

need to remember to add to the FAQs the different ways you get to order a phone... you know for when we're back next year asking the same things :)

Me and my Apple-buddy who were watching in parallel (she lives in Austin TX) both thought it looked like something had been cut from the Keynote at the last minute.

The event was fast paced, but shorter than in recent years, and finished abruptly.

Post-AirPower I suspect they are more cautious about making some early announcements.

yes, apple have been burnt by their attempts at wireless charging (excuse the pun :D:D )

Ah.. thanks for the detailed information! I was hoping to trade-in at Curry's since I get 7% off thru' corporate discount. JL offers 2 or 3% only. Perhaps I should just sell my phone for cash at CPW or Curry's and preorder in Apple.
To be honest I’ve got to the stage of doing a pre order with Apple regardless of where I get my phone finally because there’s always a window of opportunity to cancel my Apple order. Got my xsmax from John Lewis in the end last year as I just missed out on launch day delivery slot with Apple.

But you can’t start iUP in the app you have to go in store. Does that mean I have to pay in full for reservation then they’ll refund when I go I store to change to iUP?

You can. The order page, once it goes live, lets you reserve the iPhone of your choice (dependent on availability, of course). No card or payment details are involved at this stage. You pick your store and pickup time, then when you actually go there, it’s money time — you either do one of the two upgrade programs, or just pay in full for the phone. The purchase flow is different. The upgrade link will appear somewhere on the UK page for the upgrade programme. The store maybe links to it too as an option, but that’s how I roughly remember it.

I’ve always just purchased outright — I did see some mention of ‘pre approval’ this year, but that might be U.S. only or for people already on one of the upgrade programs. So I don’t really know about any other elements.

Voda have at least updated their site from a “coming soon” page, but still not tariff details

This is all very odd - previously we’d have all ordered by this time!

They didn't say anything about U1 chip. I am guessing those Apple Tags or trackers aren't fully ready yet?

Can anyone remember if you can pre-order from Apple (I’m on the iUP), but for a day other than launch day?

I’m away for a few days so won’t be able to collect till the following Tuesday. Hopefully there’s plenty stock and it isn’t an issue, but you never know.

I don’t think so. It has to be delivered to the loans billing address. If you finance through PayPal credit however. You can pick this up in store. This states it on the apple website
