Anyone still waiting for a confirmation email that did an in-store collection?

I had mine shortly after 1pm, but my partner hasn't had an email through yet???

Just a weird afterthought... I live chatted Apple Sales last week asking if you could reserve online for iUP collection instore, they said you couldn't... idiots.

Seems most people who ordered through Apple, either outright or iUP, have had an easy time, but most people trying to upgrade through networks have had a terrible time.
I can definitely vouch for both Three and EE having awful websites so not entirely surprised.

EE was one of the easiest upgrades or orders I've ever done, I just gave them a call like a few other people had done. Genuinely friendly service, quick and very easy to complete.

For those on EE what swappable benefits have you got?

I’m thinking BT Sport and Video Data Pass - but then having 100GB data would I need the Video Data Pass?

EE was one of the easiest upgrades or orders I've ever done, I just gave them a call like a few other people had done. Genuinely friendly service, quick and very easy to complete.

They said to me to wait 24 hours for an e-mail confirmation

There are plenty of different trade in options from online to store like GAME or CEX.

Look at: https://www.compareandrecycle.co.uk which gives you a comparison of the main online players.

I think you said you’re on an older device? The difference in price change in trading now to say in a few weeks might not as be as significant and still be better than apple give you.

You could also try and pick up a phone in store (assuming you’re buying direct from apple) and do a trade in then.

I've already ordered my new device and I'm not close to an Apple Store so in store pickup wasn't really an option for me without a long drive.

Sky still says order now for delivery on 20th for all three of the new phones. Plus if you’re part of Sky VIP (free to sign up to) they give you and extra one off 20Gb data in your piggy bank.

So is there anyone here who won’t be checking their bank account and order tracking page constantly over the next week?

My 11 is ordered and due for delivery next Friday but I won’t be constantly checking the status. It’ll probably turn up next Friday as planned, or it won’t - at which point I’ll chase.

Don’t get me wrong, I use to be as obsessed as anybody but I’m just that bothered anymore.

Back in 2008 when the iPhone 3G launched, Carphone Warehouse phones were delivered but the sims weren’t activated for a few days. I was actually in a couple of newspapers complaining about that debacle.

Going down the iup route, there’s nothing to track. Just a case of waiting for Friday

So my wife ordered through three website when it came up and it says 20th delivery.. how likely that is who knows.. she’s not overly fussed but will do a live chat Monday to clarify once it’s all calmed down a bit!

£1150 in e gift cards so around £75 off edenred I use my BlueLightCard

It’s like Quidco or tcb they pay 10% cb with Currys I have used them for a while now just used them for my winter Tenerife break tui should get cash back 10% it’s limited though to £250 a month

Vodafone was the same - someone on here tipped us off that they had opened pre-orders about 20 minutes before the Apple Store was due. Logged in, picked my handset and tariff and order confirmation arrived within 5 minutes.

Hope next Friday is as smooth!

Did look at upgrades or new contracts, but I only pay £11 a month for Unlimited everything from Three so I'm not going to give that up anytime soon.

I played it safe, just ordered an 11 Pro Max 256, Space Grey. I was thinking about Midnight-Green but thought it may limit case choices. Arranged it to pick up in-store, and got the time I wanted. All good so far.
