Regarding case buying..

turns out I ordered the wrong case and got a pro not pro Max!! Wife is having it but I need one which all seem sold out till October..

if I buy one for pickup at the store will they hold it until Friday for me?

If you pay off the IUP loan to Barclays before next Friday will that cancel my IUP reservation? I’ll be taking a new IUP or IP (undecided) at the store.

Apple has pro-rata refunded Apple care to Barclays, they said it might take 10 days for it to go through. I’m going to privately trade in my XS Max and pocket the £169, thanks to all those who mentioned this earlier in the thread wouldn’t have thought about doing it like this.

EE are still telling me 20th even though no email confirmation

They said it’s ordered by 3 different people and expect an email by tomorrow

You could always order via very.co.uk who are very good normally

I emailed the guy who placed my order, he said it’s gone through fine. I’ve also called twice and they told me what I’d ordered so think it’s there, just not had the text/email.

EE are hit and miss with the confirmations though. I ordered two watches yesterday, received confirmation texts, one link works and the other doesn’t

Glad to see EE replaced previous Max Plan with Smart Plan/ Swappables, and now available under SIMO. it was off the table last year if you’re not taking out a phone contract.

Roll on Black Friday deals!:), maybe the freebie £100 pre-paid Mastercard will resurface!

Ordered green 256 Max on o2 ... 30gb, £55 but with big down payment. Oddly, same price for 60 or 90gb.

Had a couple issues with credit card company paying via Apple Pay but all sorted with a couple calls including Apple!

Have to say.. Apple always lovely on the phone and determined to sort it for you ASAP! Top notch!

I ordered an iPhone 11 White 128gb Very.co.uk earlier today, delivery on Friday with 10% off and 12 months interest free, which I will pay off half and then sell the phone come next September to pay off the remaining half when I get the next iPhone.

They just called me to verify my order. Process couldn’t have been simpler.

This thread is finally starting to slow down, in the time between 13:00 and 13:15 there were about 3 pages unread, now it's a bit calmer i can actually keep up haha
Happens every year lol, it’ll pick up again in a few days when everyone starts panicking about delivery.

Just a heads up - anyone currently on the EE network using an e-sim and is upgrading to the iPhone 11 will need to order an e-sim pack from them or get one from an EE store. Just ordered mine online ready for when I get the phone on the 20th.

...quick question!

Is it actually possible to cancel AppleCare on my existing iPhone XS?

Reason I ask is that if it’s not possible, then it’s a no brainier for me to choose the standard iPhone 11 in order to cut my payments from £54 a month on my current XS (with AppleCare) to £29.99 (no AppleCare) for the iPhone 11.

Also, if I choose iPhone Payments, does this work the same as the IUP in that next September, I take in my iPhone 11 and pay off the remaining balance and upgrades to the iPhone 12?

Work wifi was a bit of a let down earlier albeit Monzo Apple Pay was seamless. Notification came through @ 1.12pm, however the delivery had slipped hence the earliest am getting mine is Sept 30th

On the upside I have more time to bond with my Max:p, needless to say it’s been a pleasure owning it

EE have accepted my order and have informed me that the “dispatch within 7 days” is 7 days from launch (20th September) and not today. Still, now that they’ve accepted me and are guaranteeing delivery before my order with Three, I suspect now is the perfect opportunity to finally ditch the worst UK network.

Totally agree, they’ve always had really friendly and helpful people on the phone, and it’s nice to see it’s still the same.
My bank did a fraud check on my card so I called Apple and the lady I spoke to happily checked my order status and resubmitted the payment request to the card. She seemed quite enthusiastic to be helping out some crazy Apple fanatic get his new phone.
Which I thought impressive because I was probably the 100th such that she’d spoken to today

I spoke to a couple guys - the guy who answered the call & took my details, name, order number etc.. and then seamlessly linked me to the aftersales team to sort my card payment out.

Asked both of them how today had been and they both pretty much said it had been mental!

One of them said from now until mid October or so is the busiest time of the year for them - even busier than Christmas!

If you go iPhone Payments, you can’t just upgrade at Apple. Hence the iPhone Upgrade Program. You’d have to sell the phone privately, pay off the loan, and then buy a new one. Out of interest, why would you want to give up AppleCare?

Also if you’re currently on the iUP, you’ll need to settle it yourself to go to a other type of payment, I.e. you can’t just hand your XS back.
